This afternoon, I made a successful trip to Target and picked up a birthday present for a very special someone. I also did something I’ve never done before…
I went to see a movie all by myself.
And when I say by myself, I mean it quite literally…the theater was empty!
So I hunkered down in my seat of choice and got out my movie snacks: a pre-popped 100-Calorie bag of my favorite style kettle corn, a Sprite Zero, and of course…some sweets.
Jay and I still have some leftover Easter candy in the house, so I packed up a mini container of some Sour Patch Kids and Starbursts.
It’s definitely a good idea for me to pre-package my movie snacks. Otherwise, being in the dark tends to make me throw caution to the wind and I end up eating a lot more than I need to. Hey, I’ve even been known to package up cupcakes for a movie.
I finally got my chance to see Bridesmaids, and I’m so glad I did…it was really funny, and I was totally laughing out loud all by myself on more than one occasion.

By the time I was on my way home, I was starving. I already knew that I was on my own for dinner tonight, which would have been the perfect opportunity to eat up some of my leftover salmon. But as it turns out, my stomach had other things in mind…
My drive home brought me right past a Chipotle, and before I knew it, I was standing in line ordering a chicken burrito bowl.
Of course, I also had to get a side of chips and guacamole.
This is actually only the second time I’ve had Chipotle, and I can honestly say that I forget how darn spicy it is. Good lord.
But despite its uber-spiciness, and the fact that it’s overpriced, there’s no denying that it sure is delicious!
Now it’s time to go get crackin’ on a batch of birthday cupcakes for tomorrow.
Hope you’re all having a great start to the weekend!
Question for the Evening:
Have you ever gone to see a movie by yourself? If you haven’t, would you?
