Well, I am happy to report that I *think* (ohhh, how I even hesitate to write it…) we’re all on the mend over here! Now let’s just hope we can keep the germs at bay until at least after Christmas before we get hit with whatever else is inevitably coming next! ; )
BUT, switching gears a bit…this is a post I’ve been meaning to share for a couple of weeks now, and for those of you who are local, you’ll definitely want to check this out!
Check it: A local farm offering meal delivery service right to your door. HOW fabulous is this?!?
Now, I had no doubt that there may be some of you out there who are like, “umm, Courtney, this is definitely not a new thing…?” and I totally get that. BUT, for where I’m located (at least to my knowledge?!?) this is definitely a new offering for us!
About a month ago, I was introduced to Gorsky’s Farm by a friend of mine, after seeing this incredible spread of food that she had received from them. When I initially checked out the company, I saw that they usually only deliver about 30ish minutes north of where we’re located, but that pickup was also available for anyone.
I got in touch with the company shortly after, when I saw they were having a special delivery day that was right in my area, and after further chatting with the owner, she generously offered to drop off a package right to our doorstep to try out!
(Full disclosure: this package was offered to us for free, with no expectation of promoting their business)
So Gorsky’s Farm (located in Stillwater, NY), in addition to being…a farm, also cooks up a BUNCH of different offerings each week, and will deliver right to your door (depending on location).
FYI: I was told that if there is an area that is beyond their normal delivery zone, they’ll always go a little further if (4) neighbors order the same day (within a 3-4 mile radius- so definitely look into that!!).
The package that we received was one of their “Great Week” bundles, and the amount of food that you get (combined with the fact that it’s also ALL local and homemade) is pretty incredible! The standard price is around $115, and ours included a variety of items like homemade mac & cheese, homemade meatballs (complete with cooking instructions), and two sets of cookies (!!)…
It also included a quart of local chocolate milk, some of their homemade hot chocolate mix…
Local honey…
A quart of homemade chili…
And a full pizza kit, which included (2) pizza doughs, sauce, freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni, peppers, and onions for toppings. We enjoyed those quite a bit…
All of this covered our dinners for an entire week, too!!
- Homemade pizza night
- Meatball subs with leftover pizza sauce
- Mac & cheese with side salads
- Chili
- Leftover pizza
Again, this post is not at all sponsored, but I am all about supporting local business, and I was so incredibly impressed with both the quality of food AND their customer service.
You can follow their Facebook page HERE, where they’ll provide updates on their weekly bundles, specials, and special delivery locations.
You can also check out some of their other bundles HERE on their website (they have everything from a “new parent bundle” to a “gift exchange bag” – SO cute and creative!!).
I’m hoping to get another bundle soon, because it’s so good (and convenient!).
Do you have anything like this near where you live? Have you tried it? If you’re local, have you ever heard of Gorsky’s Farm??
We tried their chicken pot pie recently and my youngest daughter liked it so much she wanted it for breakfast the next day! Hoping to get back there on a Sunday for their famous cinnamon rolls :)
I’m so glad to read that you are all on the mend! Stay away, germs!!!! That food looks delicious, definitely something Michael and I would be interested in!! Hope you are having a great week! xoxo
