I always enjoy looking back through the previous year to see which blog posts were the most popular, and today I’m sharing the top 10, most visited recipe posts here on STSL!
Unfortunately, I don’t get much of an opportunity to share recipes very often here on the blog these days. Every once in a while I say that I’m going to try and change that, but inevitably, real life gets in the way and there just aren’t enough hours in the day.
BUT, one of the awesome things about having a blog for 8 (almost NINE?!) years is that there’s a whole archive full of great recipes to look back on. So today, here’s a look at the Top 10 from this past year – and actually, I’m not that surprised about any of these that are in the list because they’re ALL some of my favorites!
#10 Healthy Chicken Parmesan Burgers
Hands down, my favorite chicken burger recipe. I also love making these into meatballs, which the boys love, and they freeze really well, making them great for when we need some last minute dinner ideas!
#9 Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Burgers
Okay, these chicken burgers come in as a VERY close second when it comes to my favorites. Pairing them with some crisp, cooked up bacon and freshly sliced cheddar makes these burgers unbelievably delicious.
#8 Crockpot Cheesy Chicken Enchilada Rice Bowls
My friends, it really does not get much easier than this recipe when it comes to needing something quick and easy for a weeknight (or weekend, whatever!) dinner. Dump, cook, pair with some rice, voila!
#7 Cinnamon Chip Studded Snickerdoodle Bread
There are a select handful of foods that I have an incredibly difficult time maintaining self-control over. This quick bread is one of them. I have to be very careful if/when I make this bread because it does NOT last long. Ughh, it’s SO good!!
TIP: The cinnamon chips are not available in stores near me (womp womp) but you can buy the Herhsey brand ones on Amazon. I’ve also tried using these mini cinnamon chips from Nuts.com, which are good, but the Herhsey’s ones are definitely my favorite.
#6 Oatmeal Banana Toddler Muffins
This is, honestly, a recipe I’d forgotten about for a while! But I’m so glad it’s back, because it was a great reminder to whip up a batch on the weekend to have for during the week. They’re great to give to your kiddos for breakfast, paired with some fruit or yogurt, toss in a lunchbox, or even for an after-school snack with some peanut butter sandwiched in between!
#5 Heath Bar Crunch Cookie Bars
My love for Heath bars runs deeeeeeep. And these cookie bars are my #1 go-to recipe for when I need a quick dessert (bars = much less work than cookies!).
#4 Chewy Chocolate Chip Heath Bar Cookies
I wasn’t lying about my love for Heath bars…and when I have a little extra time, these cookies are where it’s at. Slightly crunchy edges, chewy centers, and all sorts of the delicious Heath bits in every bite. Ughh, I could go for about 5 of these right now.
#3 Mini Turkey Apple Meatballs
This is another awesome recipe that I still love making every once in a while on a weekend and storing in the freezer. My boys don’t always love red sauce for pasta/meatballs, so I’ll pair these with some noodles with butter (which is something I’ve had to learn is actually a thing…I never, ever had this growing up?!) and some veggies, and it’s usually a win. Jay and I love them, too!
#2 Easy {4 Ingredient} Turkey Meatballs for Baby
One of my favorite things about this recipe post is going back to see my chubby, little Alex, and remembering just how good of an eater he used to be… These meatballs also freeze really well and have had many rave reviews!
#1 Easy Cheesy Spinach Pasta
This recipe – my goodness, it is loved! And I love that! We probably make this once a week in our house, typically saved for nights when Jay and I might be planning to eat something that we know the boys won’t like. It’s super quick and easy to whip up the cheese sauce, and I love that I don’t have to worry about cooking extra veggies, since the spinach is incorporated right into the sauce. Not only that, but the boys go NUTS for this stuff, which is a rarity when it comes to dinners for them. Sometimes Jay and I will even pair it with some sliced chicken sausages and make a meal out of it for ourselves!
I’d love to hopefully be able to add at least a few more recipes to STSL this year, so if there’s anything in particular you’d be interested in seeing, please let me know! <3

My 2 favorites didn’t make it…your chicken salad recipe and cinnamon apple raisin oatmeal bake! My son has been on an oatmeal kick and I made it last week. He loved it!

Many of us enjoy opening up our homes to our loved ones and entertaining. To be the host with the most you must create your own gourmet style restaurant within the four walls of your home. You need a space that you’re happy spending a considerable amount of time in.delicious food recipes and easy to make

Hi,
This sounds tasty! I think it would be better with some Cajun seasonings too. I will try it and let you know! https://dedescajuncuisine.com/product/jambalaya/
