Thank you to Ricola® Herb & Throat drops for sponsoring this post as part of an ongoing campaign with Socialstars. #swissherbs
Hey hey! I know I don’t usually pop in on Saturdays, but I’ve had so much to share this past week, that I had to stop by one more time.
First things first…you guys know I’ve been working with Ricola® this past year, right? Love ‘em.
Well Ricola is hitting the road with their Wake Up Your Mouth Tour to help America learn more about their Revitalizing drops. Honestly, out of all of the Ricola® products I’ve tried, the Revitalizing Herb Drops are probably my favorite. They’ve got a nice hit of lemon followed by a surprising fizzy center that tingles your mouth and soothes your throat. I can’t even tell you how many of these things I consumed when I was sick for a while a few weeks back?!
The Wake Up Your Mouth Tour is now cruising westward, so to see if they’ll be stopping by a city near you, check out the site! Updates will continue to be added soon.
And want to have some more fun with Ricola? Head over to play their Ricollection game! You could win a bag of Ricola drops OR a big grand prize of $2,500 cash!
So in honor of the Wake Up Your Mouth Tour, I thought it would be fun to share a few things that have been “waking up my mouth,” if you will. AKA, things that I’ve really been enjoying lately.
Eggs of any kind for breakfast!
While eggs aren’t always the easiest weekday breakfast for me, I have been thoroughly enjoying them on weekends. Last weekend, Jay made the most AMAZING mini bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwiches.
And then a few days later, he was also in charge of big, veggie-filled omelets, too.
When I work from home on Wednesdays, I also try to use that as an opportunity to switch it up and have some eggs, too. So this past week, I kept it simple with a couple scrambled eggs and toast with jelly. SO GOOD!
Salads for lunch!
Once the holidays were over, I told myself I needed to make a solid attempt to get more veggies in. The holidays got the best of me (as they do for most of us), and knowing I just feel better with some extra veggies in me was the push I needed to restock the veggie drawer. This past week, we grilled up some chicken on Sunday and I pre-made a bunch of salads to have for the week.
They have really been hitting the spot!
Delicious snacks that aren’t necessarily cookies…
Because, let’s be honest. That’s basically what the majority of my snacks were for a solid 2-3 weeks.
This past week, I was really into having half of an english muffin with some peanut butter around the 3pm mark at work. It’s filling, satisfying, and helped prevent me from wandering into the pantry after work and mindlessly grazing.
I’ve also really been into these Kit’s Organic peanut butter bars. I’m going to have a post coming up for these babies in a couple of weeks, but this flavor and their cashew flavor have been big favorites of mine.
Beverages other than water
Okay, so probably 85% of the time I’m drinking water. But sometimes it’s just fun to sip on something a little different, right? And since it can’t be alcohol right now, I’m finding other ways to “wake up” my tastebuds.
Like this decaf non-fat caramel macchiato. First of all, I had no idea if they could do decaf espresso (is that weird? I honestly didn’t know?!) but I was thrilled when they said they could. I hadn’t had one in so long and it tasted great.
Lemonade has also still been a treats I’ve been enjoying in the evenings. But it’s gotta come from Stewart’s…it’s just my jam right now!
So how about you guys? What’s been “waking up your mouth” these days??

I’ve been loving seltzer a lot lately! I’m addicted to all the winter/holiday flavor they have out now.
Awesome! We are huge fans of Riccola but never tried a different flavor before. Your description of the lemon zest is right up our alley. Just wanted to say that even your sponsored posts seem genuine. Thanks for that!
Thanks so much, Marie. I really appreciate that! I probably spend double the amount of time on sponsored posts, just because I want everyone to know that what I’m promoting/sharing is something I truly do love! :)
I am definitely going to try those drops, they sound so refreshing! I’ve been all about eggs for breakfast too lately.
Your salads always look so good and refreshing! What all do you put in them? And what kind of dressing??
My go-to’s are: mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded carrots, dried cranberries, feta cheese, grilled chicken, and avocado. Dressing is usually a balsamic vinaigrette of some kind :)
Hands down Ricola is the best cough drop!!!!! Ayy ay ay….I’m not even crazy about lemonade but something refreshing like that sounds perfect right now. Fighting indigestion bad! 0_0 My jam these days has been cold brew green tea at night! Helps with digestion and make me feel like I have more clarity mentally and better skin the next day. But maybe it’s in my head?
Ellie!!! So good to see you!!! Hope you’ve been well! :)
I love those drops! I have a funny story about them. I am a teacher and during parent and teacher conferences I gave one of the drops to my co-worker as we were both feeling under the weather. I was talking mid-conference when my co-teacher experienced the fizzy center. I heard, “oh my” from where she was sitting. I was trying so hard not to laugh. But now she’s addicted and we always have a stash of the Riccola drops in our cabinet.
LOL that’s hilarious! So glad you like them, too! :)
