Hello, and happy Tuesday! Since I never got the chance to share my weekend highlights with you all yesterday, I figured I’d go ahead and do it today. And also, I’ve got a really great giveaway at the end of the post, so keep reading to see what’s up for grabs!
Friday night was a quiet evening at home. We opted to not order out food in an effort to save money, and wound up making some homemade pizzas on naan bread (we use these and love them). They’re seriously some of my new favorite pizzas!
Oh, and I added some mixed greens on the side because I figured I could use some extras these days to offset all the sweets.
I’m pretty sure Jay and I wound up watching our DVR’d episode of The Blacklist and crashed shortly after that. We’re so old.
Saturday was busy at home. We did some cleaning, played around the house, and Jay worked on the kitchen table for a while before going to visit his dad.
I attempted to put Lucas down for a nap, which started off as a no-go…but since he was just hanging out in his room, I was still able to squeeze in a quick 30 minute barre workout in the living room.
Shortly after that he started getting whiney, so I headed upstairs and rocked with him in the chair. We both ended up falling asleep for probably almost an hour! But then I really needed to shower and get ready, so I put him down…and ladies and gents, we had our first weekend nap in weeks!
Shortly after he got up, we headed over to my parents’ house where they were set to watch him for a few hours so Jay and I could enjoy a little date night out.
As soon as Lucas sees his papa and his cars, we’re not even a second thought to him. See ya kiddo!
Jay and I originally planned on going to see a movie, but Lucas’s nap put us a little behind schedule. Rather than race to the movie, we decided to run a few errands and check out a couple stores. We did important things, like hit up Bed, Bath, & Beyond and sit in the massaging chairs for like, 10 minutes.
Mom and dad, this is on my Christmas list! I took a picture of details for you.
We also stopped at Home Depot to attempt to find some blinds or shades.
They had a bunch but, once again, since we still aren’t totally sure what we want, the trip wound up being a total bust.
Dinner, on the other hand, was absolutely INSANE. If you missed my meal plan post, go check it out. The food was so. freakin. good.
Sunday started off nice and lazy. We all hung out in bed for about an hour before heading downstairs and having cereal for breakfast.
I also started taking down some of our fall decorations because ohmygod I’m so ready to start decorating for Christmas!
Jay got Lucas to go down for a nap (halleluiah!!) so I was able to get some blog work done AND get in a workout. Small victories, my friends!
We’re also (and by we, I mean Jay) really coming along on our kitchen table!
The following portion of this post is sponsored by Sears. As a member of the Sears Blogger Squad, I was invited to partake in their Sears Members Private Night Sale and I’ve got something GOOD to share with you at the end!
On Sunday evening, I left the boys at home and ventured out for a little solo shopping. I honestly cannot even tell you the last time I was able to do that, and it was amazing.
As we all know, Black Friday is the big kickoff of the holiday shopping season. But as a Shop Your Way member, I didn’t have to wait and actually got to check out the Sears Members Private Night Sale on Sunday. It was an exclusive night of shopping for Shop Your Way members with early access to the same deals that will be available on Black Friday.
To check out some of the Black Friday deals Sears is having, you can see them at Sears.com!
They have all sorts of deals on things like tools, Christmas decor…
And definitely on clothing. I got a few things for Lucas at half off!
I was also hoping to have some luck with this pair of booties I’d had my eye on. I used the Reserve It integrated retail service to, well, reserve them so I could try them on once I got there.
I’ve utilized this service more than once, and it’s so convenient. You can read more about it HERE!
Sure enough, my boots were there.
And I LOVED the look of them but, unfortunately, they were just a tad too snug. When I went back to the shoe department, they didn’t have the size I needed in the brown color. Booooo.
But I still made out pretty well at the end of the evening, even though I can’t show you my bag because there are gifts for certain people in there who will likely read this post. 😉
So in case you didn’t get a chance to visit Sears on Sunday, they will be opening at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day until 2 a.m. on Black Friday, and will re-open at 5 a.m. for a second round of doorbuster deals! (For holiday hours per store, please visit your local Sears or check online at Sears.com).
And because they rock, Sears also wants to give one of you the opportunity to shop with a little extra cash in your hand this holiday season.
Like a $100 Sears gift card!
Feel free to use it on Black Friday, or really any time you want. And maybe go ahead and try out one of their integrated retail services if you haven’t yet?!

Since Black Friday is right around the corner, this is going to be a QUICK turnaround, and I’ll be announcing the winner of the giveaway tomorrow, Wednesday November 25th. Good Luck!
