I’ve got 5 incredible at home circuit workouts to share with you today! Just grab some dumbbells and you’re ready to GO get it done!
I feel workouts is absolutely one area of my blog that has reeeeeally changed over the past few years.
Back in the day, I used to post about my workouts almost daily. It was just a major part of my life, and my blog, so that’s just what turned out to be my “norm.” Fast-forward to now and yes, my workouts are definitely still an important part of my life, but it’s just not something I wind up talking about all that often.
Be sure to check out my updated workout page with ALL of my favorite circuit workouts, treadmill workouts, and more!!
Do you guys even want to know what I’m doing these days? Or is that totally not interesting? I know there are plenty of other awesome blogs out there doing the workout thang!
Well, regardless, I thought I’d still go ahead today and share some of the workouts I’ve been trying out lately. Like I mentioned before, since we’ve moved in with our friends, it’s been awesome to be able to have a mini gym at my disposal. It has given me the opportunity to shake up my routine a bit more, and is allowing me to work some different muscles in different ways than I’ve been used to.
The first thing I did was hop on Pinterest (you following?!) and started searching for full body circuit workouts with dumbbells. I found a TON, but here are a few that really caught my eye and looked good enough for me to pin and try out.
This full body circuit workout with weights (<—with instructions on how to do each move!) was awesome. I first did it maybe a week or so ago, and I’m thinking I may wind up doing it again tomorrow.
This full body bikini shape-up circuit with weights was a fun one! I did two sets of each of the three circuits (due to time more than anything else) and I definitely felt like it worked the whole body by the time all was said and done.
This circuit workout with weights (<—instructions on how to do each exercise there!) was a pretty good one. Some of the moves aren’t my favorites, but overall, it was still a solid workout and one I’d likely do again.
This full body dumbbell circuit was another good one I just did yesterday morning. I only had enough time to do two sets of each circuit instead of three, but I was still feelin’ the burn!
I love Presley. And I also love her dumbbell combo circuit. Compound moves are one of my favorites…work more muscles at once, get a better burn!
I’ve also been checking out some of my older circuit workouts, including:
“Feel the Burn” Circuit Workout
I’ve still been incorporating some of the various Beachbody workouts that I have a day or two a week (mostly PiYo and T25 Gamma lately), so having the full variety has been awesome. It’s making me think that I’m really going to need to find some new equipment so we can create our own home gym soon!
So I’m curious…
- How many of you workout at home?
- How many of you are gym-goers?
- What is your FAVORITE workout right now?

I love looking at Pinterest for workout ideas!! I do mostly at home workouts since I have a 3 month old..tone it up routines, insanity DVDs, or circuits I find online. Once or twice a week I venture out to Pure Barre…just nice to get out of the house sometimes!!

Since the weather is warmer I find myself outside on runs a lot. But I’ve been loving the Nike Training Club app! You should check it out for easy to follow and sweaty workouts anywhere from 15-45 mins! I’ll take over my gym’s group fitness room and go through circuits. Love it!

since I had my son I’ve been working out at home more often than visiting the gym. At home I do HIIT and compound moves and save spin and yoga for the gym.
Linz @ Itz Linz says
i recently joined a gym, but still do home workouts more times than not just due to time – these circuits are perfect!

I love at home workouts! I go to Orange Theory twice a week to really push myself, but then work out at home the rest of the week.

YES! Thank you for all of the circuit workout ideas. I’m trying to get more into doing some weights instead of just cardio/yoga. These all look like fun, simple routines I can start with.

I am pretty fortunate that I have two “home gyms” I can use. The one is our garage which has pretty mch all the equipment I could need and a small gym for our apartment complex with cardio equipment and basic weights. It’s nice to have both!

I enjoy working out at home. The major plus is that you don’t have to drive there which eliminates a lot of excuses. I love beachbody DVDs to keep me motivated.

i mainly run outside these days (nice weather + marathon training!) and i use the gym in my apt building 1-2 times a week for strength training. the past 2 weeks i’ve also been keeping my yoga mat (which gets zero yoga play, but it’s comfier than the wooden floor!) in my living room and doing push-ups/planks/light weights, etc. there at night or in the morning. squeezing it all in when i can!

Hi Court! I’m group fitness all the way, so nearly all of my workouts take place in the studio. I do, however, do yoga at home. So cool you’ve got access to a mini gym now. Enjoy it!

I’m definitely not an at-home workout gal! I need to get out and workout then come home and re-coup! I love circuits though and Pinterest has so so many!

Thanks for sharing these workouts – i love circuit workouts, personally.
Currently, I am doing this 6 Weeks to Bootcamp Fit workout from Women’s Magazine. The program provides strength workouts that give me a structured workout plan while still providing me with enough flexibility to do the other things I love – like spinning, elliptical, etc. Plus, it’s easy to follow.
http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/six-week-bootcamp-workout I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love workouts that combine high intensity body weight plyos with some resistance training– it’s the perfect combo and saves you a ton of time. I also love sprinting– any sort of interval training is my kind of workout :).

I am lucky enough that I have a gym in my apartment building. While it’s not totally fully stocked, it offers enough for me to get in a quality circuit workout! I prefer to run outside, but now that I’m trying to incorporate more strength training into my workout, I’m forcing myself to go to the gym. Favorite workout will ALWAYS be running, but I’ve been loving some 30 minute HIIT circuits.

I love when you post your workouts because I feel like you’re realistic with time and what you can do without a gym! As an almost new mom, my hopes of getting to the gym 5 days a week are coming crashing down so I would love for you to continue posting what you’re doing! I’m so pumped you let us know about BodyPump being SOLD to do at home..like HELLO life saver since that’s my go to weight workout at the gym. I am a gym rat by nature but have been collecting a ton of pinterest workouts and youtubing BodyPump classes to do at home when the bambino gives me some free time..whenever that might be! I can’t wait to try the ones you’ve posted!

I think it’s interesting to hear about what others are doing for their workouts. Not only because maybe I’m a little nosy, but also to get some new ideas! I’ve gone through my phases of working out at a gym and working out at home, and while they both have their pros and cons, my heart is definitely at the gym doing the group fitness thang. I have the most fun and get the best workouts when I’m teaching or attending a group fitness class.

Lately, I’ve been trying to incorporate more strength training and circuit workouts. these will be bookmarked, thank you. I tried doing push ups the other day and have been sore since…reminds me I have been neglecting those muscles : )
