Before anything else this morning, I must first give a very special, big birthday shout out to…
My mama! Happy Birthday, Mom!
I’ll be seeing this special lady at some point this evening, either at our softball game or, if it gets rained out, a birthday dinner. I’m pretty sure that we’ve had a softball game almost every single year on her birthday, and she’s always such a trooper for coming along. You’re the best, mom!

Now, good morning to you all! Hope you all had a glorious weekend. Do anything fun? Go anywhere exciting? Here’s what was happening around here…
So in addition to those happenings, you have noticed that there was also a little bit of action going on here at STSL.
For the past month and a half or so, I’ve been doing a ton of behind the scenes work, with the help of Ryan, to get my online personal training site up and running. Ryan did an amazing job of putting together everything that I imagined, including some nifty tools and a brand new header for that page.
I wanted the page to look a bit different from the regular blog, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of managing two separate sites. So, for those of you who come here solely for the pictures of Cody or cupcakes, nothing is going to change for you. I still plan on blogging from STSL exactly the same way as I have been!
The training page will have some updates from time to time, including daily fit tips that should be coming soon. That page will refresh without interfering with the main site here, but if you subscribe via RSS feed, then I believe they will show up for you.
Online training is something that I’ve been thinking about doing for months now, but it was just a matter of getting things in place. I was able to have a great chat with my dear friend, Tina, while we were away at Blend, and she was nothing short of awesome, supportive, and has been an incredible resource ever since.
I’m excited to see what will come of it, so we’ll see how it goes!

Last Night’s Dinner
So that pasta that I showed you guys last night? Oh my…
When I bought the bag, I asked for two servings, so I figured I wouldn’t really have to think twice about it – just split it slightly in half (a little more for the man) and serve. As we sat down and looked at our bowls though, we realized that this was definitely not two servings…and if it was, then it’s not what we deem two servings!
This bowl – which was also filled with spinach, sautéed peppers and onions, parmesan cheese, and my homemade sauce with meatballs and chicken sausage – was mammoth.
I ended up eating maybe two-thirds of it before calling it quits and saving the rest for leftovers.
Breakfast
I ended up accidentally sleeping in a bit later than usual this morning, so by the time I woke up, I was ready to eat.
Two toasted waffles – one with almond butter + pumpkin butter, one with peanut butter, both with banana slices.
A delicious breakfast choice, as always.
I’ve gotta jet – lots to do! Happy Mondayyyy!
