I think it’s fairly safe to say I’m somewhat of a nosey person. And, based on the fact that many of my “Day in the Life” posts are some of my highest read posts, I’m pretty sure many of you could also say the same. I guess it’s just a part of our nature nowadays…since everything has the ability to be so public on social media (or blogs!) we all like to know what people are up to. I mean, I don’t know about you, but that’s one of the main reasons I read blogs! I find blogs where I feel like I sort of “know” the blogger (or in many cases, I actually do!), and so I like to know what they’re up to, what they’re doing, what their days are like, etc.
So today, I thought it’d be fun to dive in a bit more to something I always find interesting about a person…what’s hiding in their bag/purse?
I’m not talking about gym bags…most of those are likely going to have the basics. But women’s purses? Oh man, I feel like the possibilities are endless. Right? Especially with the sizes of them now…I swear, you could fit a small army into some of them! Including mine, which is from the Stitch Fix box I received last December.
At any given day/time, there’s always bound to be something new that’s in there, but here’s a look at what’s been hanging out in my purse the past few weeks…
Of course, you’ve gotta have the money holders: wallet, coin purse, and checkbook.
Then there’s my favorite gift card holder (my dad refills it every Christmas with all sorts of awesome gift cards that last us through the year!), which is also filled with coupons. Plus more random store coupons. Plus a bunch of DD’s napkins and receipts. #addict
You will almost always find some sort of snacks in my purse…and, nowadays, I’m usually carrying something around for Lucas, too.
Never wanna be stuck somewhere hungry, right?!
I’ve always got some sort of gum and mints, and these past few weeks I have not been without my Ricola® Revitalizing Herb Drops. I’m seriously not kidding…they have been helping me a ton with whatever sort of allergies/cold I’ve been battling. Remember when I mentioned that last week? Well, it’s still lingering…
I’ve been popping the herb drops quite a bit, especially when I’m at work and want to try to tone down the coughing (ugh, the coughing). It wasn’t until I cleaned out my bag for this post when I realized just how many empty wrappers I had down there…
Whoops. But it’s a total win-win when you actually enjoy the taste of something that provides things that are good for you, like B vitamins and Chrüterchraft, Ricola’s 10-herb blend. What’s in the blend? Check out this post!
In my purse, you’ll also always find a random assortment of odds and ends…
Keys, pens, nail files, a mini lint roller, antibacterial hand gel, my asthma inhalers…
Plus hand lotion, chapstick (I haven’t been able to find my favorite medicated one!), a mini hair brush, and a friction block stick which works awesome for when you’re wearing flats with no socks/stockings.
Right towards the bottom of my purse, I found my purse holder which I completely forgot about (it’s so handy when you’re out and don’t want to get your purse dirty on the floor)…
Along with some random rubber thing that I am totally clueless on??
The only thing missing in the pictures above? My phone, of course. I just had some sticky toddler fingers that wouldn’t let my pry it away as I was taking pictures.
So let’s hear it from YOU!
- What is one item that you will ALWAYS find in your purse?
- What is one item that you think would totally surprise people if they saw it in your purse?
