Full of Tangents, Take 12

Well, you guys. It’s been quite the past few days I’ll tell ya. I’m sitting down now at 7:30 on Monday night, actually finding some free time on my hands, so I figured I’d check in with you all and say “hello!” and tell you how much I’ve missed you. I figured I’d go through whatever photos I have in my phone right now and somehow make a story of a blog post out of them (which is pretty much what I do lately).

However, when I opened up my phone, I realized I have like, no photos that I’ve taken over the past few days (not counting the hundreds of Lucas). Go figure, right? Rather than call it quits though, I actually have a few things on my mind so I figured it would be a perfect time to break out…

A Tangents Post! (Feel free to read Tangents Take 1, Take 2,Take 3, Take 4, Take 5,Take 6, Take 7, Take 8, Take 9, Take 10, Take 11, an Take 12 if you’re bored and feel like it).

-For three nights in a row, starting on Friday, Lucas was NOT having it at bed time. I’m talking full out screaming at the top of his lungs fits…and we hadn’t changed anything. I have no idea what was going on. I assumed maybe his teeth (poor guy), but I just don’t know. Whatever it was, it was just no bueno and I’m hoping we’re in the clear now.

It’s a good thing I love him.

-And in case you’re curious, Lucas is checking out the box of the latest Reebok kicks that I was sent and I’ve gotta tell ya…they’re pretty darn awesome. I shared them on my Facebook page last week.

-Thanks to Ashley posting one a few days ago, I recently discovered the Flipagram app and I’m totally in love with it.

I want to make about 100 more of these. Winking smile

-On Sunday, we went over to our friends’ Brook & Andrea’s house to watch football and just hang out. It was so, SO nice to get out and just be with friends again for a few hours! We had pizza and snacks (I made these buffalo chicken meatballs…holy spicy but YUM!) and the babes even got to hang out too.

-I’m kinda, sorta obsessed with these Snickerdoodle Larabars.

I received a few of them in the mail last week from the company and wowwwwww. So, so delish.

-My mom gave me one of my favorite apples for Christmas and while I wanted to house the entire thing myself, I was nice and shared with Jay tonight (well, last night, as you’re reading this).

Seriously some of the best chocolate and caramel covered apples I’ve ever had!

-I created a new Pregnancy page on the blog, which makes it much easier to navigate through all 40 of those wonderful weeks. Winking smile

-So tomorrow starts 2014, eh? Man…doesn’t seem possible. While 2013 was absolutely a fabulous year, I’m really excited for what’s to come in 2014. And while I don’t really do resolutions, I do have one major goal. And that’s to get more sleep. Totally possible…right? Winking smile

-Do you guys remember last January when Jay and I went out and used one of our City Dining Cards?

As I mentioned before, they really provide a pretty neat element to dining out and allowing you to try new places you might not normally try. Well, for those of you who are local, I have two extra packs to give away!

If you’re local and want to enter to win a Capital Region pack of City Dining Cards, just leave a comment on this post about a restaurant you’d be excited to try!

-Happy New Year’s Eve! Anyone got any fun plans? Anyone wanna make any bets on whether or not I can make it til midnight?

I’m guessing no way Winking smile

I have been wanting to try mingle and tala. Those cards look really neat, I will have to check out the website. Happy New Year’s Eve!

  2. Amy says

That city card has so many excellent choices. I’d choose garden bistro 24. A friend of mine has gone and raved I’d be excited for something different.

    Happy new year!

  3. Allison says

How do I choose?! So many favorites are listed and so many I’d want to try! I’ll have to pick Mingle. I hope you have a Happy New Year :)

  4. Patty says

Those cards have so many great restaurants I’ve wanted to try. If I had to pick one though I would have to go with La Serre. Having a card for $10 off would defiantly cut the cost.

  5. Amanda says

I really want to try Lombardo’s. It is one place we always say we are going to try and always end up someplace else!

I need to find these larabars! I have been dying to try them out for the last two months but can’t find them anywhere :(

Lucas is such a cutie! It could be his teeth or sometimes when they grow it just makes them a little off their A game. My daughter went through a phase like that when she was 6 months old. From dream sleeper to nightmare for two weeks out of nowhere. Just hang in there!

Snicker doodle Lara bars? I need to try those! I admire you so much for working so hard while having a baby! I know you are exhausted all the time! I hope you can get a little more sleep in the new year. :)

My boyfriend and I have been talking about getting dinner at Merry Monk, so this would be a great reason to go check it out! Thanks for the giveaway :)

Haha Lucas is not a fan! He took one occasionally around 4-6 weeks but that was about it. Overall I’m glad he doesn’t depend on it, but there are definitely times I wish I could give it to him to calm him down!

Is Lucas Confectionery in Troy in the pack? My husband and I have been dying to go there! Happy New Year to you and your family!

Happy New Years to you and your adorable family! It’s amazing how Lucas has grown – I’m thinking of the days when he was just “Baby Tooth”. I hope he’s feeling much better now. I haven’t tried a Lara bar but after seeing it on here – I’ll be on the lookout for it =)
