Hi! Came across your blog from My Food N Fitness Diaries…I am also a native of Upstate NY (grew up outside of Saratoga (BSpa), went to Univ. of Albany, and then lived/worked in Geneva/Rochester). My hubby got a fellowship after his Phd in NJ so we are here for 2 years (miss NY like crazy). Seeing all your local places made me miss Upstate even more! When interning in Albany I went to Iron Gate all the time and we used to walk to Bomber’s from our apt. on Western Ave….so yummy! You have to try El Loco mexican rest. which is off Madison..best key lime pie and chimichangas. Also Lombardo’s on State St. has the most amazing authentic Italian food.
Melissa @ runscootsrun.blogspot.com recently posted..Yeah, I HIIT that…
Hi Melissa! Oh man, that’s so fun!! I love hearing from readers who actually know about the places I’m talking about.
I’ll definitely have to check out El Loco (I’ve heard good things!) – and yes, Lombardo’s is delicious Italian food!
Hope to see you around more often!
I know! lol..anytime I see someone from NY (especially Upstate, I get all excited, haha). Let me know what you think of El Loco if you decide to go there sometime. Looking forward to reading more!
