You guys asked for it, so here ya go! Some recent outfit pics.
All of these outfits are workday outfits for me; I haven’t yet remembered to snap anything on the weekend. Next time. ; )
My office is pretty casual in the sense that you can wear jeans and it’s not a problem. Depending on my mood (or, let’s be real, what’s actually clean) I tend to go back and forth between jeans and dress pants. Or maxi skirts, as you’ll see! And about 90% of my clothing these days is typically from either Old Navy, Target, or Stitch Fix. What can I say, creature of habit (and of what’s easily available without having to go to a mall!). So here we go…
Outfit #1
- Top: Old Navy Relaxed Tie-Front Top (wearing in cream, size small)
- Skirt: Target (no longer available) but this skirt via Nordstrom is basically the exact same thing!
I actually really love that tie-front top and just realized the other day they have more colors and sizes back in stock, so I may have to grab the yellow striped one…
Outfit #2
- Top: Old Navy High Neck Swing Tank (this exact tank isn’t on the website but this is it in solid, and this is the same pattern but a slightly different top)
- Pants: Banana Republic Sloan Skinny-Fit Cropped Pants
You guys may remember my love affair with these swing tanks from Old Navy, and this is just another one that I’ve added to my (growing) collection).
Outfit #3
- Top: Universal Thread via Target (I recommend sizing down a size)
- Tank: A New Day via Target (I have a few of these, which are awesome for layering)
- White Jeans: Just Black via Stitch Fix. THESE are very similar!
I’d actually love to find a really cute bralette to wear with a shirt like the red one above, since it can show a little shoulder. American Eagle has some cute ones (like this one!) so I may have to check them out sometime soon.
Outfit #4
- Top: Mossimo via Target (this top has been around for a while (you can see it styled very similarly HERE!) but no longer available. Similar via American Eagle // Similar via Nordstrom
- Jeggings: Super Soft Low Rise Jeggings (on clearance!!!) via American Eagle // Also THESE and THESE are similar
- Flats: Mossimo via Target (I also own them in black)
I’d say that Target mirror is almost as dirty as our mirrors at home! ; )
Outfit #5
- Cardigan: Merona via Target (from last year) but THIS ONE from Target is almost the same
- White Jeans: Just Black via Stitch Fix. THESE are very similar!
- Wedges: via Sole Society (from about 4-5 years ago??) but, SIMILAR, SIMILAR
Not much more to say about this outfit except the fact that I totally swapped out the wedges for my comfy sandals after taking this picture because I realized life is too short for uncomfy shoes, even if they are way cuter.
Outfit #6
- Sweater: Gap Outlet (from probably 2-3 years ago…?)
- Jeggings: Super Soft Low Rise Jeggings (on clearance!!!) via American Eagle // Also THESE and THESE are similar
- Flats: Sole Society (from probably 5+ years ago??) but THESE are sort of similar
- Belt: Express (SIMILAR)
- Coffee Mug: Starbucks, from way back in the day (a gift from my bestie, Heather!) <3
Out of all of these outfits from this post, I’d say this might be my favorite and the most “me,” if that makes sense? This is just the type of outfit I feel most comfortable in, and I’m always drawn to navy/white and nautical looks (hence, the shirt in outfit #4, too).
That about does it for outfits, but I DID want to include this picture below, just because I actually had a number of people reach out asking for details about my tank top!
The tank is this Slim-Fit High-Neck Sleeveless Tee and I absolutely love it. So much so that I’ve actually purchased it in 5 different colors now…
I mean, it’s just so versatile! (Tank shown above in black, paired with these mid-rise twill shorts in railroad stripe).
Honestly, I don’t really find my wardrobe to be all that exciting, so many of you may have found this post boring (sorry ’bout that). But I really do just like to keep simple pieces that I can dress up or down or accessorize easily. So whether this post helped you find some new items to try out or to stay far away from, hopefully you walked away with something! ; )

Love all these outfits!!! So cute! haha this was not boring at all! That tie top looks comfy, I might have to look into that one! :)
Alaina says
I love your style! Definitely similar to what I find myself gravitating towards.
Case in point: I have the exact same tank top in outfit 2 (same pattern too) and I absolutely LOVE my Sloan Curvy Fit pants from BR. I have a pair in navy and now I want to get every single color. They fit perfect and are super flattering.
:-)
Courtney says
Love it!!! And YES they are my favorite pants – I also have them in navy! :)
Jennifer says
I love your style. Keep these type of style posts coming every so often.
P.s. Girl, have you lost weight? I definitely don’t mean this negatively (I feel like i need to stress that with all the internet negativity) — just an observation! You look fab!
Courtney says
Thanks Jennifer! I have lost a few lbs, just focusing on fitness and healthy (most of the time, haha) eats! :)

Ha before even reading your description on #6 I thought that was my favorite for sure and it’s such a flattering look on you too. I want that sweater so booo that it is from 2-3 years ago!!
Courtney says
Aww thank you! I know, I was even looking for something similar to compare it to, but came up short :(
Jen says
Love all your styles!!! Super cute and comfy. Not boring at all!!!
Courtney says
Thanks, Jen!!
Courtney says
I’ve seen you mention the American Eagle pants a few times, but I haven’t shopped there in a while! Do you feel they run true to size or do you size up? Thanks!
Courtney says
Hey Courtney! Yes, I’d definitely say they’re true to size. They are obviously a “snug” fit since they’re jeggings, but I’ve always stayed at the same size as regular jeans :)

I love these posts because they’re relatable. I can’t stand posts with people’s outfits that are so far out of my budget. I can’t afford a $75 top that my kids will stain! Or my husband will inevitably leave a chapstick in his pocket during the wash… Ugh, ha.
Courtney says
Haha, I hear you!
Kate says
SAME! I can’t justify $$ clothes when my job doesn’t call for them, frankly.
Molly Petsch says
Love that you wear affordable and mom-friendly clothes! Outfits are super cute and you look great!
Courtney says
Thanks, friend!! :)
Fiona says
Oh man I’m loving those jeggings on you and the swing tank, I wish they had it in that pattern still.
I got these pants in solid black and pattern ( in Canada) from ON and I feel like you’d die in them, they legit feel like Pj’s so can’t beat it!!

I love your style because it’s soo much like mine, practical but soo freaking cute! You’re killing it!
Courtney says
Ohhhhh, those are super cute!! And thank you!! <3
Amy says
Haha…I wore your exact outfit #2 just yesterday (paired with black sandals) and I own the same flats from #4 that I wear all the time…keep it coming, we definitely have similar styles and I love to see new ideas!
Courtney says
No way?! Haha great minds!!
Lauren says
I really like that tie top from Old Navy!
Kate says
I love your outfits! Very similar to what I wear; my office is also pretty casual and I tend to wear dark blue or black jeans a lot. I am pregnant right now (with our second and last baby!) and cannot WAIT to start working on my “real” wardrobe again. I haven’t invested in good clothes in a couple of years because of pregnancy!
Ashley says
All of your outfits are adorable and not boring at all! I love those swing tanks, I own quite a few of them :) I absolutely love Outfit #6, you look great! Those tie tops from Old Navy are also really cute, might have to purchase some of them ;)
Kayla says

Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
Love your outfits! I’m all about basics and staples you can wear time and time again! Those white pants are so cute!
Betty@bettysbalance.com says
I love the tie-front top with maxi skirt look! I have a couple of maxi skirts (which are a step out of my comfort zone) but I can never seem to confidently find tops that match well with them. Thanks for the idea!

girl, you look amazing in ALL of them ♥
Jill says
Loved this post and will certainly be ordering some of these items! you look amazing, girl!
Megan says
I’m pretty sure you shared this at some point, but where did you get your bedding from?
I love the look and need to redo mine!
Also, love all these outfits. My style is super similar to yours. I just resigned from my teaching position to stay home with my baby and it’s weird transitioning out of needing work clothes. I still want to look and feel good but have no use for “fancy” clothes now. Love this post and would love more!
Courtney says
Thanks, Megan! It’s from Wayfair!
Cynthia Holt says

I’m a college student on a budget, so I’m always looking for affordable clothing options. That’s why I was thrilled to discover inlower, a website https://inlower.com that offers a wide selection of stylish and affordable clothes. I was able to find some great pieces for my wardrobe without breaking the bank. The ordering process was simple and secure, and the clothes arrived within a reasonable timeframe.
