That post title totally had me thinking of the movie Clueless – “Rollin’ with the homies…” – Do any of you guys remember that?!?
Anyways…
Weeeee’ve made it to the weekend!! Are you all enjoying yourselves yet?!? ;)
Hubby and I didn’t get home until late last night, so let me give you guys a recap on last night before I move onto this morning, ok? Cool. :)
Dinner
Jay and I didn’t plan very well for dinner last night. We both knew he had a softball game at 8, we didn’t have much in the house to cook, but we didn’t have too much time to go out either. Soooo, when the mention of Flavour Cafe was brought up for paninis, we knew we had an action plan.
We both shared a Half & Half – lemonade & iced tea. It was pretty good, but I probably only had about 3-4 sips of it (the rest is still sitting in our fridge this morning).
For my panini, I ordered the Sicilian, which was grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, and basil pesto on focaccia bread, along with a house salad (aka mixed greens) on the side.
It was amazingly delicious – I seriously love ALL of their food. If you live nearby, and haven’t stopped into this little gem yet, I would highly recommend it!! :-D
We stopped home quick after dinner so Jay could grab his gear, and so I could wait for mi madre to come and pick me up for the game. One of the perks of going with mom – hitting up Snowman on the way to the game!!
Every week, they rotate their flavors of their “Only 8” frozen yogurt, which (if you haven’t heard of it) is a gluten-free, 8 ingredient frozen yogurt that is flippin’ fantastic. I am, however, picky about the flavors (some leave a funky aftertaste) but when I saw that cappuccino was on the menu, I knew it was my ticket to paradise. I ordered a small with some oreos & cookie dough and enjoyed every last bite of it while watching the boys play their game and chatting about life with mom. :)
That about does it for last night, so let’s move it on to this morning, shall we?
I got myself up around 8:00 for a run on the treadmill. Unfortunately, the hips still aren’t 100%, so I didn’t want to push myself too hard and risk injury. Instead, I decided to do some run/walk intervals (3 mins – run / 1 min – walk) and covered about 3.4 miles in 37:00. It was definitely a great workout!
Breakfast
Today’s breakfast was a repeat of Monday’s fabulous yogurt bowl, which I fell in love with then, and alllll over again this morning!
A pineapple flavored Chobani…
Paired up with 1/2 a sliced banana and some NEW granola that I just can’t get enough of – Honey Almond Vanilla. HOLY YUM!! :-D
Startin’ to get a little messy! ;)
I also snacked on some fresh cantaloupe while prepping my yogurt masterpiece. It’s seriously some of the best cantaloupe that I’ve had in a while! (<– Well, it was the best – hubby just finished up the rest) ;)
Now I’ve got my bags packed, and I’m headed up to Hudson Falls for a fun-filled day/night with my favorite girlies! My friend Joelle’s bridal shower is today, so we’ll be celebrating that during the day, and then we’re headed out for a little “girls night” tonight. I’m so excited!!
So needless to say, I’m not sure if I’ll get a chance to get anymore posts up for today, but if not, I promise I’ll be back as soon as possible!
I have a good hour drive ahead of me, so I’m thinking that I may have to grab an iced coffee for the road – you know, to keep me company. ;)
Have a Super Saturday!
Question for the Day:

Oh my goodness, YES I remember Clueless. It was one of my favorite movies. When I was in school we would always do the ‘whatever’ sign with our hands (when the movie was popular)- haha!!
I love that 8 ingredient frozen yogurt- sounds awesome! Reminds me of that ice cream with only 5 ingredients- I think it’s Hageen Das maybe. But it sure sounds good.
Hope you have a GREAT night with the girls- they are always the best kind of nights :D
