Good Morning! How’d everyone’s weekend go? Can you guys even believe that we’re already into the second half of 2012? Crazy.
Here’s a little peek at what was happening around here over the weekend…
A fun weekend, indeed!
Breakfast
Lots of good stuff happening this morning.
This meal was basically a no-brainer. Whenever there’s homemade banana bread in the house, that’s most definitely eaten for breakfast. Plus, when your fridge is stocked with this much Chobani…
…you just can’t resist. I received this amazing package in the mail on Friday from my lovely Chobani friends, and I’m totally stoked. For some reason, I’ve only really been buying vanilla or plain lately, so the reintroduction of flavors is very much welcomed.
Today: a pineapple Chobani + blueberries and a piece of Low-Fat Banana Bread + peanut butter.
I had actually meant to grab a lemon flavored CHO out of the fridge, since I’m a major fan of the lemon + blueberry combo, but I didn’t even realize it was the pineapple one until I took this photo right here.
Good thing I’m nice and alert this morning…
Good news – the pineapple + blueberry combo is just as good. I love the pineapple flavor as it is (the 2% is just soooooo good), so I wasn’t surprised.
Before breakfast even went down, I made sure to get in a workout for the day. I brought back an old favorite today…my On The Ball Pilates DVD.
I realized, after looking through some old posts, that I haven’t done this video since September 22, 2010?!? I don’t know whether or not that’s true, but I know it definitely has been a long time, so I’m sure my abs will be feelin’ it tomorrow.
I combined the 30-minute pilates DVD with this 30-minute treadmill routine before calling it a day.
I’ve got some work to take care of this morning before heading out later to meet up with my friend Eileen. If you follow me on Facebook, then you already know what we’re up to…to say I’m excited is an understatement.
But also just as exciting? The giveaway I have headed your way later this afternoon. (I know, right? Another giveaway?) I have a feeling that all of my fellow fashionistas are going to be totally in to this one!
Question for the Morning:
Now that 2012 is halfway over, what have been some highlights of your year so far?
mandee says

Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
i LOVE the pineapple chobani! it’s probably my favorite. the 2% makes it so rich and creamy, and pineapple is one of my favorite fruits. have fun at the movie!! :)

graduating, moving flats, getting together with my boyfriend, finding not one but two jobs, taking up running… First half of 2012 has definitely been eventful!
Erica { EricaDHouse.com } says
Meeting my boyfriend in January, going to NYC with him in March and now living together have absolutely been the best parts of the year thus far!
Janae @ Bring-Joy says
I’m a big fan of the stability ball, especially when I’m having issues with my back. One of the best pieces of exercise equipment out there, so versatile & makes things fun when you can change them up.
Best thing about 2012: My husband passed the bar exam, so after years of sacrifice & hard work, he’s FINALLY an attorney! Relief, of the highest order.
Elizabeth says
The first half of 2012 went by so fast. My highlight so far is been relaxing and getting my golf swing down to a science. I can’t believe it is half way done. Thanks for posting that pic of the abs.
Sarah @Blonde Bostonian says
I’d die to have that much Chobani in the house! I love the lemon flavor too – so deliciously tart. Happy Monday!

I so want to go see Magic Mike, ha!
The highlights of this year have been moving in to a new house with my boyfriend and raising our puppy! Ok, she’s not really a puppy anymore since she’s 10 months but it’s been great.
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
Ooo I’m so jealous! I love the pineapple but my favorite is apple cinnamon. I think I keep Chobani in business. I seriously buy SO much of it!

Magic Mike is excellent! Plot could have been developed a little more but honestly that doesn’t matter to much ;]
Lindsey says
I know, I cannot believe it is half over! Highlights so far – going to Arizona for a week in March and truly just relaxing there, and going hiking for the first time a few days ago.

saw magic mike last night, and hate to say it, but it was no where as good as i what i expected! & the previews make you think a completely different plot is going to happen! Besides the obvious man candy, I just thought it was weird!
I wish I could get cases of Chobani!!!!

One Of my highlights was definitely my trip to China and Singapore- so much fun!!
Brittany @ GOtheXtraMile says
I love chobani! I saw MAgic Mike last night and it was actually not a good movie =/ However, it wasn’t THAT terrible since Channing Tatum was half naked haha. But the acting, ehh.

Yum! That breakfast looks amazing! So jealous of your homemade banana bread! The pineapple chobani is actually my favorite flavor! I love how creamy it is! I can’t believe the year is already halfway over…time has been flying lately! Some of the highlights have been starting my own blog and nutrition business! Graduating with my Master’s in Nutrition, and continuing to love CrossFit! Happy July!

I can’t believe that 2012 is already half over!
The best things so far have been watching my little nephew start reaching milestones now that he is almost one, and starting my blog! I never imagined it would grow as much as it has the past few months.
Have a great time today!

I saw Magic Mike this weekend! Oh man!!! Total Chick Flick for sure!!!! Kind of a stupid story, but the stripping, well worth seeing it!

No you are not the only who wants to see magic mike. I just moved to vegas where I know NO ONE so I’m trying to figure out a way to go see it alone without looking like a creeper… I don’t think that’s going to be possible though!
Suzanne @ Fit Minded Mom says
I JUST tried the lemon Chobani this weekend and I loved it. I love lemon flavored everything though, especially in the Summer!
I went and saw Magic Mike last night. It was uh…..interesting! Le’t just say I have found a new celebrity crush in Channing Tatum. HOT!!!!

I was planning to make some banana bread this week. After your delicious looking breakfast, I think that plan is confirmed!
Shannon says
Highlights of 1/2 of 2012 include completing my sophomore year of high school, celebrating my 1/2 birthday, and vacation to Cape Cod last week.
Enjoy the movie with your friend- I haven’t seen it but it will probably be a while because I’m not permitted to enter an R rated movie yet.
Lauren says
Cho just sent me some fun flavors too! I’m just like you, I usually stick with the plain or vanilla but the exotic flavors are such a nice treat every once in awhile.
Alysha @Shesontherun says
Two cases of Chobani sounds good to me! Do you ever freeze them? I’ve had a ton of highlights this year so far – new job, new nephew and new friends :)
