Pure Protein Prize Pack Giveaway {CLOSED}

As promised, I have one final giveaway for you all this week. And today’s giveaway is all about…protein!

As the years have gone on, I’ve learned more and more about the importance of protein and the key role that it plays in a healthy diet. These days, two of my most favorite forms of protein have been nut butter and Greek yogurt, but since they aren’t always so easy to eat on the go, there’s also plenty of other options, such as those from Pure Protein.


Did you know Pure Protein products only have 1-5 grams of sugar? And not only that, but both Jay and I can attest to the fact that they taste delicious, too.

The first thing we both tried out were the Pure Protein High Protein Bars, which happened to be during our busy day out last Saturday.


Each bar comes in at 200 calories, 6 grams of fat, and 20 grams of protein which is probably right around what I might typically eat for a snack.


The inside of the bar looked a bit different than I expected (just because I was judging solely on the picture on the wrapper) but the taste was great and Jay and I both agreed that while it did have a little bit of a “protein” flavor, it wasn’t chalky or gross like some others I’ve tried.


The next item we tried was the Pure Protein Shake. We both happened to bring them into work with us one day and actually got a pretty good laugh out of this one. I brought mine in thinking I’d try some in my morning coffee and then drink the rest later in the day.


I hadn’t really bothered to read the bottle or anything like that, so I went ahead and gave it a nice, thorough shake before opening it. Wellllll, let me recommend that you do NOT do that…


That action caused my shake to spray ALL over the place. And when I told Jay about it later that day, he admitted the same thing. Oops! Live and learn, right? Winking smile

But shaking aside, the taste of the shake is really good, and Jay said it’s probably one of his favorites (he’s more likely to drink them than I am).

One last item that we received was the Pure Protein whey protein in frosty chocolate.


Since I haven’t really been drinking too many protein smoothies these days (just because they don’t always work with my schedule) Jay tried this out after a workout one evening and he said he loved it. His big thing is about things tasting “chalky,” but all of the items we got to try definitely passed the chalky test.

Apparently later this year, Pure Protein is launching some new products including baked gluten-free bars, fiber-rich bars, and mini bars…all of which I will definitely be on the lookout for. But for now, let’s focus on what they DO have…

    i am a protein powder addict. i just like adding it to a variety of foods to get an extra added protein punch. it seriously goes into my cottage cheese, yogurt, baking goods, milk and cereal you name it!

    so i think the whey protein powder would be what i want to try the most, but i am a sucker for protein bars too!

    I like eating Greek Yogurt as my protein source (especially Oikos Caramel!) because it’s sweet and tastes like ice cream. I think I’d want to win the protein powder the most, because I’m DETERMINED to find a protein powder that makes a MEAN protein milkshake that tastes sooooooo indulgent.

    Post-workout I like to make a protein shake with chilled almond milk. My current favorite protein-packed breakfast is a pancake made with two eggs, half a mashed banana and ground flaxseed. I top it with some sunflower seed butter and it is delicious!

Since I am on the go a lot as well, it is a bit time consuming trying to make a shake when I am in a hurry. I think I would really like to try to protein bars.     I have stopped eating so many protein bars, opting for for more “real food” snacks lately. But, these bars have more appealing nutrition stats than others on the market.     I love all protein forms! seriously, I really enjoy trying to come up with cretive ways to eat more protein. My favorite are protein pancakes made with protein powder, cottage cheese, and egg whites…. topped with greek yogurt!

    By far my favorite way to get protein is through Greek yogurt. It is so good that I don’t think of it as something I need to eat, it’s just something I enjoy in different ways throughout the day. A dollop of vanilla on my oatmeal in the morning, a black cherry Chobani at lunch, and maybe some more vanilla with chocolate chips and cinnamon as a small dessert at the end of the day!

    I make sure to eat something with Protein in it after every workout so my body knows it’s going to get what it needs when it needs it. My favorite forms of protein are easy to east protein bars – I usually eat a half a bar an hour before my workout and then the other half after.     Most often, I get my protein from Greek yogurt, peanut or almond butter, nuts and sunflower seeds, cottage cheese and chicken or turkey (when I have it pre-cooked and available to add to a salad). I also like string cheese for a snack. I would love to try the Pure Protein products you have available as I’m always looking for portable, convenient products that are nutritous and tasty.

    I love the vanilla creme individual cans, I’m a student and don’t have much time for lunch–they are the perfect solution for a quick meal and I actually really love the way they taste!

    I love Pure Protein products! I used to eat the Smores protein bars – any idea if they still make that flavor? I can’t find them anymore, they were my absolute favorite. My husband and I both have a Pure Protein bar every afternoon for our snack – they are very filling. I’d be interested in trying their protein powder.

    My husband and I have been trying to incorporate more protein into our diets. We’ve switched from regular yogurt to Greek yogurt, we’re eating more eggs, and recently discovered edamame. I was very surprised that it has 11g protein!

    I would love to try out the protein bars! I love to go to the gym directly after work, but then during my drive home after the workout, I feel like I’m missing out on the window of opportunity to get protein back into my system after a difficult workout. Having ready-to-eat bars available in my car would definitely remedy this problem. It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing anyway, so this would be a great way for me to try out my theory, without spending a bunch. Thanks for offering up this giveaway!     I’d love to have the shakes or bars for after the gym! I have a long commute home and buying the protein shakes at the gym gets expensive.
