1. Someone that I follow on Instagram (hey, Maggie!) posted this pic a while back, and I ended up screenshotting it because it just cracked me right up.
I don’t know what it is about it, but it really just strikes me funny and I cannot stop chuckling when I see it.
2. I will forever and always love me some blueberry cake munchkins. They are my kryptonite.
3. On Wednesday, I went out to lunch with a couple of my co-workers and the cobb salad I got was out. of. this. world.
And it was enormous. I left that restaurant incredibly happy, I’ll tell you that much.
4. I still cannot fathom the fact that, a week from today, we will no longer be in our home. Even though this has all been in the works since March, it still seems like it has absolutely flown by. And then when I look around our house and still so. much. stuff. that needs to be packed up? Umm, yeah, the anxiety creeps up a little bit.
5. I really, really wish I gave myself more opportunities to eat eggs. I actually really enjoy eating them for lunch sometimes to switch things up a bit, but they aren’t exactly something I can easily whip up in the office. So on days that I work from home (or are just home on weekends) I like to try and get my fix in.
And why, yes, I am eating off of a holiday plate in May.
6. I seriously wish all websites had live chat options for customer service. They’re just so convenient! I had to get in touch with someone yesterday regarding a wrong order, and my problem was solved in less than 5 minutes.
7. I am the absolute worst at leaving pimples/zits/whiteheads/blackheads/whatever the heck you want to call them alone. Like, the. worst. I ended up getting one (which was barely noticeable, mind you) between my lip and nose and am now sporting a nice red spot. However…when I put concealer on it, it almost looks brown, so I’m calling it my Cindy Crawford beauty mark.
8. I am totally annoyed by the number of fun facts of written so far that start with I.
9. This shirt is one my absolute favorites (bought it from Target, but can’t seem to find it online anymore). Anytime I wear it, I receive compliments…
however, I’ve learned that if I walk around wearing it, while also holding my phone and water bottle, I’m also going to get comments on how matchy-matchy I am. Whoops.
10. One of the things that drives me bananas with packing is using newspaper. The feel of it is weird and the ink winds up getting all over the place.
11. We are full on obsessed with House of Cards over here. Like, I want to binge watch 3 hours a night (granted, I’m not letting myself, but still…wow, is it good!).
12. I really should get back to doing some packing…so I’m finishing up here!
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful holiday weekend ahead, whatever you may be doing! Wish us luck, we’re doing a big part of our move this Saturday!!

i hate the feel of newspaper – william LOVES shredding it (well any paper really) and it drives me nuts and i wash his hands immediately after!

I definitely agree with you about websites having online chats! They are such much easier and convenient!

I love when websites have a chat option! So easy!

When we moved we found that the newspaper printer in my hometown sold the ends of their rolls. It’s just the paper without ink… might be work calling your newspaper to see if they do that. It was really cheap. We’ve also bought a box of packing paper from Uhaul. it wasn’t too expensive and had a ton in it. Worth it to not have the ink everywhere and it just felt cleaner for kitchen stuff
Meghan says
Go buy a roll of plain brown butcher paper! No ink and plus if there is any left you can use it to wrap gifts or let Lucas create a mural ;) Also, I’m sure you’ve seen this on pinterest but when packing plates/bowls, put a styrofoam plate/bowl in between them and it keeps them from banging together AND you can still reuse them after you unpack!
P.S. turquoise is a great color on you so match away!!! :)

I love blueberry donut holes too! Good luck with your move!

I wish I had your beautiful hair! When ever I try to curl mine it never looks as full as yours! Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend. :)

That top is definitely super cute! I like eating eggs for lunch too, but during the work week, I have the same issue. I suppose I could make them in the a.m. and bring them for lunch, but there’s something about reheated eggs that doesn’t sound too appealing.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine says
When I was a little girl, and we would take our weekly weekend trips to DD, the people who worked there knew us by name and would always give me free munchkins ;)
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
I’m typically a big egg lover and used to make them pretty regularly for lunches. It’s one of my favorite ways to get in a bunch of veggies too! But, they are just not my thing this pregnancy … at least scrambled. I can do other ways. Weird, huh?
Good luck packing and moving this weekend!! Hope it all goes smoothly. :)

totally into that aqua color. best of luck with the rest of your packing (gah newspaper makes me cringe too, i hate that feeling) and hope the move goes well!

Haha, can’t go wrong with a good old holiday plate, back when I lived at home with my parents I’d always use this certain snowflake mug because it was super tall and could therefore fit #allthecoffee
I LOVE eggs and I too miss them when I am at work! I love the chance to go out for breakfast or brunch and have someone else make them for me too, they always make them better.
Some restaurants make the BEST Cobb salads! I love how everything comes all separated, so pretty.

I love that top!!! Rats you can’t find it at Target anymore!
Danica @ It's Progression says
We just moved last fall (and are again in a month), and I used all the towels we had for packing up fragile things, then used all the plastic target-like bags we had, and then I bought a ream of packing paper from a local moving company. I didn’t want to use newspaper either (not that we had any around anyway), and the ream of paper was super cheap and one was all we needed. I’d recommend doing that!
Maggie says
Hahh!!! I’m so glad that image made you laugh Courtney! And PS I’m not kidding I just made myself eggs for lunch. Also, when I packed my apartment I used sheets, pillow cases, drapes and towels for wrapping breakable things because I feel the same as you about newspaper. Have a great weekend!!
Amanda says
Bahah, that’s hilarious! I want pizzzaaaa! Thinking of you guys! Good luck with the move!
Julianna says
blueberry munchkins are the best! now majorly craving them so i’m going to have to take a trip to DD this weekend to get some!

That shirt is so cute! I love loose shirts with interesting draping like that – I have a bunch that I bought from H+M like 10 years ago that I keep holding on to and repairing because I’m so reluctant to give them up. I have the matchy-matchy problem all the time too. I love camo, so people are always buying me camo stuff. I have to be careful, especially in the winter, because I’ll realize I’m carrying a camo bag, wearing a camo sweater, with a camo scarf and gloves, and I look like a crazy person. One piece of camo is really all a person should wear at a time…
Julia @ Lord Still Loves Me says
Most of the time, I eat my eggs for lunch! Mornings, I usually crave something sweet so I tend to have oatmeal or something with peanut butter on it. By the time lunch rolls around, eggs sound great! House of Cards is fantastic! I love Francis.
Have a great weekend Courtney!
