A Coffee House Date

By Courtney 24 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone!! Guess who I’m hanging out with this morning…?

IMG_0539

The lovely Heather, that’s who!

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy being on vacation yet? Winking smile

Heather and I met up earlier this morning at J Watt’s Barista House for a little caffeine and blog talk, As always, it’s been fantastic!

As soon as I arrived, it was time to get something warm and caffeinated, so I ordered up a latte called “The Morgan.” It’s basically a version of my favorite caramel macchiato from Starbucks…

However, I’m quite tempted to say that J Watt’s may triumph over Starbucks on this one. This baby was AMAZING! Smile

I also brought along some Cinnamon Chip Scones to share.

IMG_0538

I had one, but Ms. Heather gets to keep the rest. Winking smile

Before leaving the house this morning, I also squeezed in a 3-mile run, which let me tell you…was one of the most daunting runs I’ve experienced in a long time. Annoyed My legs felt like comparable to 100 pound iron rods, my hip was hurting, and I just wasn’t feeling. I couldn’t have been more happy when it was over!

So needless to say, I had to refuel with something else rather quickly, so I put together a banana and PB.

Simple and tasty! Smile

Question for the Day – from thenheathersaid:

Who’s your favorite President? (It IS George Washington’s birthday today, ya know!) Winking smile

Yum! Peanut Butter & Banana is always a good go-to snack for refueling! I'm sorry the run was harder than expected :( But good job for making it through! Any blogger meet up that involves coffee and/or scones sounds like fun ;)

I know maybe it is not the right place, but can I ask you a question!? :) .. How do you store your cookies/scones and anything similar? Because mine are always dry and soft the next day!

I think Teddy Roosevelt was pretty awesome. Rough Riders, the 'stache, a bear named after him. And he's in the Night at the Museum movies :0)

I think my favs are : FDR, JFK and Reagan! Overall, though, JFK. It's so sad how he died, I feel he could've done so great as President. What do I know, I'm only in my early 20s! ;) Hope your hip feels better! :D
