Good evening, friends! Forgive me if this post seems like I’m a little distracted…it’s because I am!
I’m watching The Bachelorette while quickly trying to type up this post, so it might be a quick one. I’m sure you all understand. ;)
This afternoon, I got to meet up with four of my favorite girls for a little scrapbooking!!
If you remember Joelle’s Bridal Shower, part of the party was for the guests to make a scrapbook page for Joelle & Kyle. Well, today Jo got to work on finishing up that book, while the rest of us got crackin’ on a couple projects of our own. If you notice the scrapbook on the bottom of the photo below, you mayyy just happen to recognize that happy couple. ;) As a wedding gift from Joelle, Rachel, & Kathryn, they created a special “Courtney & Jay” scrapbook for the two of us. I still have a couple finishing touches to complete, but once I do, I will definitely be sharing it with you all!
Joelle & Rachel are both serious scrapbookers. This is just a small portion of the supplies that these two girls have!
Dinner
After a couple hours of cutting, cropping, & gluing, we had all worked up quite an appetite. We had originally planned on a restaurant down the road from Rachel’s apartment, but realized as we were pulling into the parking lot that they were closed. No problem – a “Plan B” was quickly devised, and the 5 of us headed to Pizzeria Uno.
It had been quite a while since I’d been to Pizzeria Uno, but I was quite happy with a few of the selections I saw on the menu. I eventually ended up deciding on the Roasted Vegetables & Feta Wrap, which was “a whole wheat and flaxseed tortilla filled with roasted vegetables, caramelized onions, tomato, feta, lettuce, and balsamic vinaigrette.
This wrap was absolutely phenomenal! The flavor of the vegetables, combined with the savory feta & balsamic was out of this world. I devoured the entire thing!! :)
For my side choice, I was quickly intrigued by one of the items on the menu: the Farro Salad, which was “a whole wheat grain, cooked like pasta and mixed with diced tomatoes, cucumbers and balsamic vinaigrette.” Again, totally delicious, and eaten in its entirety. This meal had nothin’ on me! ;)
On a quick side note: In case you didn’t already notice, earlier today I updated my “About Me” page to become “My Story” and completely revamped it. If you get a chance, check it out – I would love any feedback you might have on the new page, and would love to know what you think!
**You guys are totally loving this VitaTop giveaway!! If you haven’t already entered, you still have until tomorrow afternoon, so make sure to get your entries in for that one AND the Exercise TV giveaway!**
Question for the Night:
Do you scrapbook? Do you do any special crafty things?
nope don’t scrapbook and am in general not crafty- wish I was. . . When I get stressed out I color in a coloring book. . . thats the best I do
YES! I”m a scrapbooking freak! It’s my number 1 hobby and I do it whenever I get the chance. I have tons of supplies and about 15 completed albums……specialty albums such as Christmas and the Cottage. I have tons of time and money invested into my photo memories. LOVE IT!
Hahaha, I would LOVE to see your scrapbooking arsenal someday! I’m sure it’s amazing. :)
I have doen one scarpbook and it was for my senior memory book, all seniors were required to do one, and I feel in love with it! It toook foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr but it was great to see the final result!
By the way checked out ur “about me” page and think its great! I saw the old way and, def. like this way a lot better ;)
Thank You! :)
WHAT !! I work at unos!!! Im a waitress :) i love it!!
I reallllly want to start Scrap booking! I really want to start about me and my bf! Except i don’t know how to start, could you show us your scrapbook for inspiration? xx
You betcha! Check out today’s post! :)
Scrapbooking looks like it’d be fun. My problem is that I take waaaayyyyy too many photos to have the time or money to do so… But I still print them all and put them in photo albums. So I… uh… archive? :)
I do, however, know how to knit. That would be my claim of craftiness for the day!
I LOVE scrapbooking!!! Actually for Christmas Craig got me this thing for scrapbooking called the Cricut when cuts like letters & designs, etc. out of paper- kind of like what you would use to design a bulletin board for school. Have you ever heard of it?? I had never until he got it for me & I LOVE it. It’s sooooo cool!! (or maybe I’m just a scrapbook nerd ;) )
i am such a bad scrap booker lol. i love admiring other people’s creations though! wish i was craftier.
you are soooooo pretty girl! love farro salad! Mediterranean food is the bomb
I am the opposite of crafty unfortunately! I am always jealous of those who like it and are good at it!
I use to be a big time scrapbooker..but now I can’t find the time :( I have soooo many scrapbooking materials..a whole closet full!
I’m an awful scrapbooker! I love the idea of them and have tried starting a bunch, but I can’t seem to ever finish them. I did receive a (finished) scrapbook from my best friend recapping our high school years. It’s one of my favorite things in the world! Maybe one day I’ll make one for her, haha :)
I’m not a scrapbooker, but my mom and I used to make 100+ Christmas cards every year : )
The Bachelorette was intense last night! I’ll be sad when it’s over, haha. I love Monday nights.
Oh my gosh, I know! Drama-Rama!!
I like to scrapbook….I just don’t! I have the supplies and all that stuff, but it never seems like there is enough time! Dinner looks great!
I LOVE Pizza Uno and that wrap! That salad is new– and I need to go there right now to try it!
I never got around to doing a wedding scrapbook, but I sort of have an online one. Makes me a little sad that I don’t really do it as much as I used to!
