Welcome To Virginia Beach!

By Courtney 24 Comments

We’ve arrived!!

We got down here to Virginia Beach this morning and were greeted with cloudy but dry skies.

Our hotel is located right on the boardwalk with only a short walk to the beach…which, by the way, has some of the most beautiful sand.

We arrived too early to be able to check into our room right away, but we were able to enjoy the free hot breakfast that is provided in our hotel, so we hit that up.

There was most of your average continental breakfast stuff, and as tempted as I was to pour myself out a big ‘ol Belgian Waffle, I decided I’d hold off for another day. Instead, I got some scrambled eggs (meh), fresh fruit, and an english muffin topped with PB&J.

This was our view from breakfast out on the patio. Not bad, right? Smile

IMG_5540

Since we still had time to kill after eating, we decided to make the most of it and do a little exploring…

IMG_5528

Now, my dad told us all before we left that there was really only one thing that he was super excited about doing while we were here…and that was renting a four-person bicycle.

Ohh dad…

IMG_5530

So the four of us got in our bike, and hit up the bike path for an hour long bike ride.

IMG_5542

IMG_5543

We seriously must have laughed the entire time. The ride was hilarious!

IMG_5545

We also realized that we even had runners passing us as we were riding. Even with four people, that bike riding business was tough work! I really think I’m going to be sore tomorrow…especially in my hamstrings and BEEhind. Phew!

IMG_5546

By the time we got back, our room was actually ready which is way ahead of time. So we unpacked the car, unloaded in the room, and now we have bright blue, sunny skies awaiting us.

(This is the view from our balcony) Smile

IMG_5547

So now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a beach that’s calling my name!

IMG_5548

Catch ya’ll laterrrrr!

I've always wanted to ride in one of those bicycle car things! They look pretty intense, so I'd probably make a fool of myself... :D

Why did I think you were running the Boilermaker this weekend?! Must have gotten you Albany girls mixed up. Virginia Beach sounds way more relaxing than 9.3 miles :) Soak up some sun for me!
