Wednesday already?!? Holy moly. Well, I guess that only means one thing…

It’s time for another WIAW! Or, as usual, it’s technically “what I ate Tuesday,” but you get the idea. Yesterday wound up being a bit of a snacky day for me, resulting in what felt like I was eating all day long. Hey, I never mind that!
Here we goooooo…
Breakfast – 8:00am
As always, this is old news.
But delicious news, indeed.
Mid-Morning Snack – 11:00am
While I was out taking care of some Christmas shopping, I snacked on a KIND bar that I had stashed in my purse.
LOVE this kind <—pun intended. I also had half of a granny smith apple before leaving the house which didn’t make the camera.
Mini Lunch/Snack #1 – 1:30pm
Shortly after I got back from shopping, I wasn’t starving but definitely needed something to eat. I figured I’d start off small and see if I needed more from there…
I snacked on a vanilla Chobani, mixed with pumpkin and topped with half of a banana and Love Grown Foods granola.
And also had half of the rest of my Snapple that I had opened yesterday. I actually totally forgot that these were out in our mini fridge in the garage, so I’ve been sipping on them for the past couple of days.
Notice the creeper striking once again.
Mini Lunch/Snack #2 – 3:45pm
The yogurt was enough to keep me satisfied for a couple of hours, but I eventually needed something else so I toasted up a waffle and topped it with some pumpkin + peanut butter.
Why do I not eat waffles as a snack more often???
Dinner – 6:30pm
Seeing as though I was running on absolutely zero veggies for the day, I figured I should include some in at dinner.
I let Jay finish up the rest of our alfredo leftovers, while I used up some of the leftover grilled chicken to put in a nice big salad.
Along with the chicken, I had lettuce, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, roasted broccoli, and onions tossed in about 1/2 tbsp EVOO + balsamic vinegar + dried oregano and basil.
For a little added crunch, I toasted a couple thin slices of marble rye and topped them with some Smart Balance.
Hit the spot, for sure.
After Dinner Dessert– 9:00pm
I honestly was not even hungry at all for anything after dinner, but I knew these were in the fridge and went and got them out of habit.
I know you like my fancy frosting work.
And there ya have it – not my best WIAW, but hey, we can’t all eat perfect all the time now can we?
Happy Wednesday, friends!!
The creeper cat cracked me up, once again! And those frosted cookies look delicious, even if they don’t look professionally frosted ;)
I’ve always wondered that and found it funny, since I’ve never participated in WIAW. But don’t you end up showing the foods you ate Tuesday? (Unless the Wednesday post goes up after dinner.) Hehe.
My days definitely look similar to this when it comes to portions: smaller and more snack-like. I like it that way! Eating more is a definite plus, and smaller meals seem easier on my stomach.
I’d be going for those cookies too…and no shame on the decorating, my cookie decorating skills are poor at best :-p
I’m out of cookies as of yesterday – time to bake again!
That marble rye toast looks delish! The cookies look pretty yummy too….sugar cookies with icing are my fave!
I love KIND bars. So tasty and a great grab-on-the-go snack :) And I’m the same way…I may not be hungry, but if I know there’s a delicious treat I made somewhere, I always want to sneak a taste!
You’re like me, a creature of habit! Ummm I LOVE the frosting! It’s the perfect ratio of cookie:frosting :)
I kinda had the same kind of day yesterday. But hey, at least you got protein at every meal plus a huge bowl of veggies in the evening!
That rye bread looks delicious! I need more bread in my life :)
I have waffles for a snack all the time! With peanut butter and banana, or almond butter and jam, totally delicious snack. Looks like a great day of eats to me!
That rye bread looks great- I’m loving bread & butter lately..so simple yet perfect!
Marbled rye has to be one of the best inventions ever made! (other than the Chobani + Love Grown combo, that one is pretty spectacular too :))
That salad looks so good! I love salads that have a lot of “stuff” in them. And of course, dessert looks awesome.
Marble Rye! Looks good! Is it chocolate marble?
Nope, pumpernickel :)
That salad looks great! And so does the bread. Gosh bread is good
I’m a huge rye fan but never seem to have it in the house haha marble rye sounds delish!
I love marble rye toast! Those cookies look really good..
I’m obsessed with Kind Bars right now! I just ate a dark chocolate cherry chunk one and it was perfection….
I eat waffles as a snack all the time! I highly recommend it :) Waffles + PB/Almond Butter + bananas are the best!!
No one’s perfect all the time! I would be miserable if I was, thats for sure :-)
I’m a big snacker too… a snack-o-holic, if you will. ;) Yum, your decked out chobani yogurt puts my plain one to shame. I’ve got to try sprucing mine up with some extra goodies aside from chia seeds. #YogurtEnvy :D
YES. I see the creeper cat tail! Hah :)
SOme days the body just wants to eat–and that’s totally normal!
Mmm… looks delish though! Sometimes snacky days are nice. Love the desserts! I need to do some baking…
Hahaha! Cody is awesome…just a little tail sticking out!
I seriously LOVE your eating attitude. You help me SO more- than you would ever know! :)
Hahaha I love that Cody’s always creepin’ in the background!
That salad looks so yummy. I love how you even include the “bad” foods to show your readers that you don’t always eat perfect and that it’s okay if we don’t some days too!
I love Rye bread! and the extra frosting on the cookie looks delicious!
Seems like a pretty good WIAW to me!
Why have I not tried love grown granola yet?! I am useless apparently.. And so jealous of your food day :)
Its okay we all have our days! I mindlessly snack without being hungry far too often! On the bright side, that salad looks and sounds uber delicious!
