Did everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend? Did you soak up lots of fun (and hopefully sun!) with friends and family? I know I had a great time hanging out with these three. <3
We spent the majority of our Sunday afternoon up at Saratoga Lake, as we do every year. The weather wasn’t bright and sunny, but it was warm enough and dry, so we’ll take it.
The kids all had a blast playing around in the yard, by the water, and on the swings.
And in the water table, too…of course. ; )
The adults all had fun while chasing around the little ones, snacking on goodies, and sipping on good drinks.
This beer, by the way? Really, really good!!
Even though we didn’t end up going out for a boat ride, we did spend some time hanging out and “driving” the boat for a bit.
That is, until all the rocking back and forth started making mom’s motion sickness kick into high gear (BLAH).
But nothing that a little time on dry land + some snacks couldn’t fix quickly!
FYI: I got the floral shirt from Mindy Mae’s Market after seeing it pinned on Pinterest. It was out of stock for a long time, and as soon as it came back in (you can sign up to be notified) I snagged it. It’s back to being out of stock again right now though!
The day was especially great because both of the boys had just as much fun with me as they did with Jay and my mother-in-law.
Which meant that I actually got a few minutes here and there to catch up with two of my favorite people, Mal and Sarah. <3
I’m always thrilled to see them both, but it was extra sweet to finally see Mal since it was the first I’d seen her since her sweet little girl arrived! It’s so exciting to see these two as parents…even though it feels like just yesterday we were celebrating at their wedding!
Other than Sunday, we didn’t have too much going on; Lucas ended up having a slight fever and just seemed a little off on Sunday night and into Monday, so we kept things low key at home.
I caught up on laundry, we got some house stuff accomplished, grocery shopped, and had a movie afternoon for Lucas. Overall, it was a crappy day weather-wise, but it all turned out okay!
So here’s to a short work week ahead – hope everyone has a great one!

Looks like it was a wonderful weekend, Courtney!! We’ve been having some crappy weather here too, I was just talking to my mom about it. Where is summer?!? I absolutely LOVE that first picture of the four of you, absolutely classic with Lucas sticking his tongue out, wearing his sunglasses…totally something my nephew Gio would do! Haha!! I hope you have a great day! Xoxo

Looks like a great day! I love the shirt. I signed up to be notified when it’s back in stock! Can I ask what size you got? I’m not sure if I should go small or medium. I’m usually in-between.
Thanks!
Courtney says
Awesome! I got a medium :)

I’m so glad for a short week and am ready for another weekend! :)

I spy Abita Strawberry! Fun fact: I’m from Louisiana (New Orleans, specifically) and the Abita Brewery was a short ride away from my house. Abita is a staple in every New Orleanians diet, especially paired with crawfish. ;)

I love long holiday weekends spent with family and friends. We camped all weekend and it was fun – but also a lot of work :)
How is your hair growing so fast? What shampoo and products do you use?
Courtney says
It does seem to be growing fast, right?! I feel like it happened overnight, lol! I actually started using a new shampoo that I’ll be blogging about soon (PURA D’OR Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo) but I also still take prenatal vitamins and I’ve been taking collagen (I bought chews from eVitamins!) as well!
