Where do I even begin?
Well, I guess for starters, I could start by saying what an absolute BLAST Brian & Mal’s wedding was on Saturday. I mean, it was a seriously awesome time.
The day started out nice and early with all the girls, as we got our hair and makeup done (I got my hair done and LOVED it, and also got some eyelash extensions but took care of my own makeup), ate lots of food, and got ourselves ready for the day ahead. Before we knew it, it was suddenly time to leave and head to the venue, so me, Sarah, and Mal hopped in my car and headed out for the main event.
I was so honored to get to chauffeur the bride to be.
Unfortunately, since both Jay and I were in the wedding, we didn’t get any photos of the actual ceremony, but I can most definitely say that it was brief and beautiful. Once the ceremony was over, we all celebrated, got some photos taken, and then joined in with the rest of the party at the cocktail hour.
There was plenty of food, and I did enjoy a couple meatballs and pieces of bruschetta; but since Mal had already clued me in to the fact that we were going to have a LOT to eat at dinner, I attempted to save my appetite.
Not long into cocktail hour, we also ran into the rest of our buddies who were there for the celebration and spent the hour chatting away with everyone.
A little while later, the bride and groom also made their appearance! Such a beautiful stinkin’ couple, aren’t they?
After cocktail hour, everyone was escorted back downstairs to the main ballroom and it was time for the bridal party to make our entrance. Of course, as we waited for the rest of the bridal party to make their way out, we had some fun out on the dance floor.
I just love these cousins of mine!
Congrats to Brian & Mal!!!
In case you couldn’t already tell, the wedding venue (the Franklin Plaza in downtown Troy) was absolutely gorgeous inside. They even had sparklers shooting out for their entrance…loved it!
Once the first dance was over, it was time for all of us to take our seats and get our eat on.
And although we were sitting at the head table, our good friends were not far away! You should see some familiar faces over there.
So yeah. Let’s talk about the food for a second. First, we started out with lobster bisque,
followed by Caesar salad,
and shrimp cocktail for the table,
and then our entrees. I went with the filet mignon, which was delicious, and by this point, I was totally stuffed.
All of the food was incredible, but I think my favorite had to be the lobster bisque. Oh man, it was so, so good.
Once we were all finished with dinner, it didn’t take long for everyone to get out on the dance floor and have some fun.
But there was way more fun going on than just the dancing…
Our friend Joe (the best man for the evening) recently started up and is running an awesome new company in NYC called One for the Book. Basically, what he does is sets up a big photo booth of sorts, and projects all of the photos instantly on a big white sheet.
So all night long, everyone was able to get a kick out of all of the fun and hilarious photos that were happening, and Brian and Mal will also get a guest book with everyone’s photos and well wishes. I mean, how awesome are these photos?

The whole set up really is just phenomenal, and if you are in the NYC area, I would totally recommend checking out One for the Book. Yes, Joe is our friend, but he is amazing at what he does and a true professional…I cannot say enough about it!
Jay and I totally had some fun in there.
The rest of the evening basically consisted of dancing, along with a few breaks to cool off, hit up the bar for Shirley Temple’s made with club soda (omg so good), or in one case, hit up the dessert cart.
In addition the dessert cart, we also had carrot cake, which I most definitely ate but forgot to snap a photo of. I did wind up taking a piece of tiramisu from the cart, but it wasn’t my favorite so I stuck with my carrot cake.
Other than that, if you were looking for us, we were out on the dance floor bustin’ a move.
I was so honored to be a part of Brian & Mal’s wedding special day, and the entire thing was just an unbelievably good time.
Now all that’s left is some honeymoon invasion in Mexico next week! Eeeeek!!
