I don’t know about you guys, but my shopping habits have definitely changed over the years. As I’ve gotten older and now also have two kiddos at home, the days of meandering around at the mall and spending all of my hard earned dollars on myself have since been replaced with quick stops to Target to usually pick up things like toilet paper, diapers, and groceries…with the rest of that hard earned money going towards fun things like mortgage payments and tax bills.
Ahhh, to be an adult, right?
But that’s not to say that ALL fun shopping has gone completely out the window…because it certainly has not! Just a little less frequent, making it all the more exciting. At least that’s what I tell myself.
So here are a few fun and random items that I recently puchased!
Ninja Coffee Bar
Technically, we actually received a version of this as a Christmas gift from my parents, but it was only the single cup version and I knew we definitely wanted one with a full carafe. So I easily exchanged it for the carafe version and we have totally been LOVING this coffee maker. It brews delicious coffee, and the iced coffee turns out great, too. I haven’t been able to play around too much with the frother yet, but I’m hoping to soon!
Anyone else have a Ninja? Any fun, must-make recipes to try???
Living Proof Full Thickening Mousse and Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast
I am absolutely OBSESSED with these products. As someone who has very fine/limp hair (but a lot of it) I’m always looking for something that can help provide a little extra ‘oomph’ and volume. Both of these products are great; I use the full thickening mousse on days that I wash my hair, and usually use the full dry volume blast on days I’m skipping a wash to help give it a little extra volume. I should really do some before/after pics to show you guys!
Best Mom Ever Coffee Mug
I recently treated myself to this mug, along with a big ol’ pat on the back. Clearly. I love that it’s absolutely enormous too, because…#gimmeallthecoffee.
Filigree Leaf Pendant Necklace
On my birthday shopping day, I stopped into Charming Charlie to see what they had since it had been forever since I was last in there. Honestly, the store totally overwhelms me (where do I even start to look?! Must have all the things!) but I found this necklace pretty quickly and had to have it.
New Usborne Books for the Kiddos
I haven’t talked too much about these books lately as a consultant, but I’m honestly just totally obsessed with them. They’re so fun and unique! I got a few new ones for the boys and also picked up a bunch more that I use for party giveaways and raffles. Pssst…wanna host a party? Shoot me an email for a SPECIAL offer!!
Lenny & Larry’s Cookies
Truth be told, I was actually pretty disappointed with this flavor. I had heard mixed reviews on this one (some loved it, some hated it) and I decided to go for it anyway…but I just don’t really enjoy this one that much. BOO!!
I previously bought the Pumpkin Spice ones and I REALLY loved those…I’d definitely get those again. And likely will.

The Ninja coffee thing sounds cool- we got a Nespresso last year and love it but I would love an iced coffee feature. Also would love to see a before and after of those hair products- I have a lot of hair but after a few days of no washing, it could use a pick me up beyond dry shampoo.

I love the Lenny & Larry cookies! The birthday cake cookie has a different taste every time I buy it, The first few times I bought it I loved it but now when I get that flavor I am disappointed. You should try the Double Chocolate Peanut Butter swirl one if you haven’t, oh. my. lord!! I also suggest toasting or baking them for a few minutes in the toaster over or regular oven… they come out like a fresh backed cookie and are so good.

I have the Living Proof Dry Volume Blast and love it! A little goes a long way, and I like to use it on days when my hair is limp and needs extra help. I am so intrigued by the mousse though. I agree that it would be a great addition to the dry spray!

I’ve never tried Lenny and Larry’s cookies before, but I’m anxious too! I’ve heard so many things about them. A recent fun purchase has been Halo Top ice cream. So, so good!

I’m currently obsessed with the berry smoothies from Bolthouse Farms. So delicious!

I would like to see a before/after using the Living Proof products. I also have fine hair, and a lot of it and look for things to pump up the volume without leaving a residue/weighing my hair down.
Aaaand….Ninja coffee bar? Jealous! :)

I do not like Birthday cake either and i thought it would be my favorite! I LOVE white chocolate macadamia -you have to try that one!

I’m also kind of bummed out about the birthday cake flavor Lenny & Larry’s! I have one now, and I’m just like, “Why aren’t you snickerdoodle?” I haven’t even tried the pumpkin spice before! I need to get my hands on that!

I LOVE Lenny & Larry’s cookies, but I’m with you – the birthday cake flavor wasn’t my fave! I think the chocolate peanut butter one is the best!
I recently bought Dave’s Killer Bread for the first time and it’s SO good. It was on sale so I snagged a loaf of the 21 whole grains and seeds variety. It makes for the perfect base for avocado toast!

I love that necklace! It’s gorgeous!

I actually just bought the Living Proof dry shampoo! I am OBSESSED. I love the smell, how it makes my hair feel, how long it lasts, basically everything. Such a great product line. Now you’re wanting me to try a bunch more though…
Another fun thing I recently bought is a laptop stand! Sounds lame, but I am on my computer literally all day between my day job and blogging and my neck/wrists were starting to hurt. The stand has been a life-saver and it’s only been 2 weeks!

lenny & larry’s peanut butter and double chocolate are good! i was irritated though to realize a “serving size” is “half a cookie”! who eats half a cookie!? haha!

I bought myself a meal at McDonald’s and a new bra from Victoria’s Secret today! My man got upset and said I was throwing money away like I was queen! I said “sure da heck am I’m queen queefa homie don’t forget it!” and made him sleep on the couch! #BAM

I sooooooooooo want the Ninja Coffee Bar! I typically have hot coffee every morning and iced coffee every night as my wind down treat. Lucky for me that the caffeine doesn’t affect my sleep, because it is my favorite!

It is truly hilarious how much shopping habits change when you have kids. We have the older version of the Ninja coffee bar and it’s probably my favorite kitchen appliance of all time (sorry, Kitchen Aid mixer!) The milk frother is a separate entity on the older one and I just broke it last week. Seriously sad day. Once you start using it you’ll wonder what you ever did without it!
I love Living Proof dry shampoo and have wanted to try some more of their products. It seems like my hair is never going to be the same as it was before kids so I might have to try something for volume.

Yes, please do a before/after with the Living Proof products! I’d love to see what difference it makes with your hair, as I feel my hair is very similar – lots of it, but fine strands. You may just be able to convince me to finally try them out on myself!

The nightime book is awesome! And we love the ninja… my husband would occasionally drink coffee and the ninja has turned him into a lover! I bought starbucks espresso coffee and some of their syrup and the lattes taste just as good! Just 2 large scoops on the 4oz brew and prob a cup of steamed milk- amazing! Just make sure the milk is really hot before you froth otherwise it cools the coffee part down too much :)
