After taking the last four months off from receiving a new ‘fix’ from Stitch Fix, I decided it might be a fun way to treat myself postpartum.
Since my last fix was a maternity fix, and they’ve also made some updates since (like adding SHOES!), I was excited to see what my stylist put together for me.
In my note, I let my stylist know that I would be about 1 month postpartum for this fix, so flowy tops would be appreciated, as would anything (i.e., shorts/pants) with an elastic waistband (I’ve been wearing my pairs of these shorts nonstop so far this summer!). Here’s what I got…and sorry for the crappy iPhone pics. It was sort of a miracle that I got enough time to snap these pictures as it was, let alone attempt with my nicer camera!
Market & Spruce Hani Halter Knit Top
I wanted to badly to totally love and keep this top. As soon as I saw the pattern/colors, I loved it. And the neckline was super flattering, too (I love anything that shows off the shoulders well), but as for the way it fit everywhere else, it was just sort of ‘meh.’ I’m not sure…I think maybe I would have liked it better if it were a little longer? I liked and appreciated the fact that it was more on the flowy/relaxed side, but when it just hung there I couldn’t really get it to look right. This one was a RETURN.

Papermoon Sessilee Split Neck Top – $54.00
This top was really not doing me any favors. While I liked the detailing on the neckline, that was pretty much it. The fit was weird (again, wide and short) and the material was too sheer for my liking (I prefer to not have to layer for shirts like this unless absolutely necessary!). I also didn’t really think it was worth the price at all, so this was also a RETURN.
Pixley Wesly Lattice Back Knit Top – $54.00
Nooo, no no no. I could not think of one reason I would wear a top like this anywhere in my near future. Not to mention, I absolutely loathe strapless bras and avoid them at all costs (especially while breastfeeding…nooo way!). It was also a bit big and definitely didn’t fit right so this was immediately a RETURN.
Kut from the Kloth Louise Linen Drawstring Wide Leg Pant – $78.00
Now theeeeese…THESE I got excited about! I already told you guys about my love for wide leg linen pants, and these 100% fit the bill. I love the olive color, which will be perfect for spring/summer/fall, and the length was actually perfect. The waistband was elastic but also has a button closure…and full disclosure, I’m not quite able to fully button it yet without giving myself a major muffintop. But I’m hopeful that I’ll get there eventually.
But even if I don’t, you can’t tell anyways, right? These were a KEEPER!
Wide Leg Linen Pants: similar // similar // similar // similar <—awesome price, too!
DV8 – Abbey D’Orsay Flats – $65.00
I was really excited to see that I had some shoes in my fix! I loved the style of them (flats = perfection), but they just were not very comfortable at ALL. I knew if I kept them they’d never get the appropriate amount of wears, so I decided it’d be best to make them a RETURN.
The Breakdown
- Market & Spruce Hani Halter Knit Top ($48) – RETURN
- Papermoon Sessilee Split Neck Top ($54) – RETURN
- Pixley Wesly Lattice Back Knit Top ($54) – RETURN
- Kut from the Kloth Louise Linen Drawstring Wide Leg Pant ($78) – KEEP
- DV8 – Abbey D’Orsay Flats ($65) – RETURN
I haven’t been totally thrilled with my fixes lately, so I’m undecided on if/when I’ll do another delivery. They’re always so exciting to receive in the mail, but of course, it’s always better when you get great stuff. I know I need to be better about my notes to my stylist, too, so maybe I’ll have to work on being more specific? Who knows!
Anyone else tried Stitch Fix lately? Receive anything awesome?

I’m 11 weeks post-partum and haven’t received a Fix since I was pregnant – maybe it’s time! I love the pants – they look great on you. Oh and I’ve been living in those same shorts!!! ??

I love to find great fitting clothes so I always end up at the store trying on every shape, size and color since the fit can very by brand. The idea is Stitch Fix has always intrigued me, but I’m too much of a shopper!

When Stitch Fix gets it right, they get it right. I have so many pieces that I’ve worn over and over again, but I also can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten stuff like the lattice top that no one is ever going to wear. I finally switched from monthly to quarterly fixes and have been happy with that compromise.

I have been less than thrilled with my fixes of late, too. Those linen pants are AWESOME, though!

It’s disappointing when you like shirts as you pull them out of the box and in the end they just don’t fit right. I end up thinking many of the shirts I’m sent are too boxy.

Love the linen pants — great pick!

Love love love those pants! I may need to find some of those for myself post baby.

My postpartum fixes have been pretty lackluster. I feel like my requests are not really taken into consideration – flowy, comfy, nursing-friendly. Not too much to ask is it?! I used the exchange program for my last fix which was nice since I just needed to size up. Also, my shoe deliveries have been a total flop! Thinking about taking a break and trying another company,,, fabletics??!

I have a Stitch fix card that is burning a hole in my pocket but I’m trying to save it for fall. LOVE those pants- definitely checking out your linked options- thanks for sharing :)

Once I told my stylist that I had a long torseo and liked longer tops I’ve been satisfied since!!

Where did you get the sandals you are wearing in these pics? I’ve been looking for a pair similar to those for a while now and cannot seem to find anything like them anywhere!
Allison says
I haven’t like my last few fixes at all. I have gotten super detailed about how things fit and very specific “I have a long torso” but it doesn’t seem like the stylist has been reading them. It’s been really disappointing. Plus, like you, I’ve gotten several tops that were weirdly wide and short…so unflattering.

Oh my gosh. I love those shoes!

The linen pants look great on you! It’s too bad the other shirts didn’t work out. Have you seen ‘trunk club’ through Nordstrom? It’s similar to this program but it seems like they have many more designs to pick from. I live in Canada but I wish I could sign up for it, I’ve seen it on a few blogs and it looks promising.

I love getting things in the mail as well. So cool when it is a hit and not a miss. Really like reading your reviews.

I’ve been disappointed recently as well. The items have been way off and tend to look all the same. My last one requested a dress and got all dresses…..a bit much! The prices have seems more expensive too. =( Sad! I want to try LeTote but they do not ship APO
