Well my goodness, it’s been a while, right?!?
I totally did not mean to go MIA last week, but this cold/allergies seriously got the best of me and left me with zero desire to do much of anything. Honestly, I’ve still got a bit of it all lingering now, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that it’s OUTTA here soon!
How have you guys beeeeeeen?!?! Great, I hope! We had an absolutely amaaaaazing weekend, celebrating a certain little guy who turned ONE.
I have quite a few pictures to go through still, so I’m hoping to get a recap up of his party ASAP. Until, then, I’ll fill you all in on our first pool day of the season yesterday!
It was in the 90s and beautifully sunny on Sunday, so we packed up the kiddos and headed over to my parents’ house for an afternoon by the pool.
Alex was in need of a nap shortly after we got there, so I was thrilled when he went down and grabbed myself a drink poolside. But not one minute after I got in, we heard a certain someone up on the monitor about 30 minutes later. Ooooof.
So, I pulled my wild card out of my pocked (aka, the boob snooze), and he managed to sleep for another 50 or so minutes, which was perfect.
He woke up a happy camper and was ready for his first season in the pool!
Verdict? He’s a fan!
A little sun, a lotta water, and some Cheerios…what more could a kid need?
Oh, corn on the cob. Yes, they also need (and love) that. ; )
Two big thumbs up over here for an awesome weekend with family and friends! I’ll try to come back soon for a recap of Alex’s party, but for today, I’m off this afternoon with Lucas for his preschool picnic (I’m sure I’ll be sharing some Instagram stories).
Hope you’re all off to a great start this week!
