Happy Fridayyyyyy! How’s everyone doin’ this morning? We’ve got some yoga talk to get to, so let’s quickly whiz through breakfast.
Today was a cereal kinda day. Quaker Oatmeal Squares, Cascadian Farms Purely O’s, blueberries, banana slices, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
Those Quaker Oatmeal Squares man…they’re probably another food that would be up there on my “I’ve started and can’t stop” list next to yesterday’s animal crackers. They’re just so darn scrumptious.

Alright, it’s Friday, so you know what that means!
June Yoga Challenge – Week 3 Recap
Three weeks in to the June Yoga Challenge. Good lord, is June flying by or what? Unfortunately, this week didn’t go so well for me…
My Challenge: Do 3 yoga sessions for the week
Actual: 1 yoga session done (certainly not as great as last week)
I felt like my schedule has kind of been all over the place this week, and some of my “planned” times for yoga ended up getting messed up. For example, the yoga class I was really looking forward to last night. I wanted to go in the worst way, but I couldn’t let my softball team down…
I may have sweat my face off, but we did win!
I’m not quite sure what little bro is doing here…
But anyways, back to the yoga. The session I did do this week was great; a 40 minute core strength video from my Yoga Bootcamp DVD. Even though I didn’t reach my goal, I’m certainly not loving yoga any less; in fact, I’m still craving it like crazy. I think I’m just going to have to chalk this week up to bad planning and bad timing. Hey, it happens, right?
Next week, I’m going to attempt to up my goal to 4 sessions. I’d really like to do another video or two from mybarre3.com, and possibly take a class somewhere if my schedule allows. I may still try to get another session in today, but I have a feeling it’s unlikely, since I do have plans for a slightly different form of relaxation…
I bought this Living Social deal a couple of months ago and am so excited to cash it in today. I’m opting for the 45 minute Swedish massage + 15 minute reflexology. I’ve always wanted to try reflexology but I’m a little nervous I might end up kicking her since my feet are a tad on the ticklish side.
So since this is week 3 of the June Yoga Challenge, let’s see if any of you guys did better with your challenge than I did. Go ahead and link ‘em up here (you’ll get yourself an extra entry into the giveaway for the Aurorae yoga mat) and let’s cheer each other on!

I’ve always wanted to try reflexology! I hope you enjoy both the reflexology and the massage (so jealous over here!!). Happy Friday!!
Leanne says
I’ve had some great experience with reflexology! I hope you will too :) Enjoy the massage – I think we’ll all be jealous of you today ;) XO
Kristen @ notsodomesticated says
Love the breakfast! I’ve been in a cereal mood recently, too, with all of the warm weather!
Tina @ Best Body Fitness says
I have a sports massage scheduled for tomorrow and I so can’t wait. Enjoy your massage!!! Miss you.
Ashlee @ A Step in the Right Direction says
I love oatmeal squares! Have you tried the honey nut yet? I eat them a lot without milk or I pair them with some vanilla yogurt :)
Katie @wishandwhimsy says
Honestly, your breakfast looks delicious! Nothing like a good cereal mix in the morning topped with blueberries. I’m such a blueberry addict!
Lindsay @ In Sweetness and In Health says
Hahaha if you kick the lady during reflexology, you’ll have to let us know ;). I’m ticklish too! I was always afraid to get a regular massage for that reason- but I’m glad that I didn’t feel like I was being tickled to death during it. Um and seriously, quaker oatmeal squares are addicting! I feel like I can finish a box in 3-4 bowls haha
Cat @ Breakfast to Bed says
I’d need more than a massage after yoga.
Taylor @ A Taste of Taylor says
Your recent yoga posts have made me really want to get back into it. I usually take classes at school because they are free at my gym there, but haven’t had access to any since I’ve been home for the summer! Enjoy your massage :) I have never made a purchase on LivingSocial, I’ve gotta check that out!
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
I met my goal this week but did better last week. Here’s to hoping next week will be our best week yet!
Faith @ For the Health of It says
Reflexology is actually really powerful – and if you tell the therapist that you’re ticklish, they’ll be great at using a little more pressure to keep you from getting antsy!
Molly Ritterbeck says
My softball team actually won our first game! I love it! I hope you enjoy your massage!
Laurie @ Love, Laugh, Laurie says
Good job on keeping up with it! I’m doing terrible, hence no link up :(
Sienna says
I have that same problem with oatmeal squares! Just curious but why do you consider the barre3 class yoga? All of the barre type classes I’ve taken have been strength traing in my book with leg lifts, squats, and arm work. Are the ones you’re doing full of downward dogs and vinyasas?
Courtney says
You’re right – technically, most of them aren’t a typical yoga class, but there are a couple on there that are labeled as yoga which I am planning on including. I haven’t watched the full videos of them yet though, so we’ll see how they turn out! :)
Melissa @ Live, Love, & Run says
Oh, I need to join this challenge! I feel like I always slack on my yoga when I’m NOT in a studio taking a class. Kinda stinks…it’s so easy to let it fall to the wayside when you’re not paying for a class. Not to mention my living room is too small – I’ve hit the ceiling fan several times. (This is when I wish I were short.) Thank God we’re buying a new home! :D
BTW: I have a HUGE cereal container filled with oatmeal squares at all times. You aren’t alone in the addiction. :)
Sarah says
At least you got in 1 yoga session this week! Loving this challenge lady!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
oh man, i’m jealous of that massage! enjoy! :)
Debbie @ Live from La Quinta says
I love reflexology. It’s my favorite part of a massage (although it tends to put me to sleep for some reason!).
You remind me, I have a couple Groupons I need to use before they expire.
Enjoy your massage!

If you are feeling bored with your yoga DVD’s, check out gaimtv.com. You can stream hundreds of yoga and fitness DVD’s right to your computer for less than $10 a month. I love it, and rarely do I feel energized and motivated to try another video. I’m loving the June Yoga Challenge!
Elle says
Great job on getting 1 session in! Thank you so much for doing this challenge :)
Erica @ For the Sake of Cake says
I’m curious to hear how the reflexology is… I have ticklish feet too!
Dena @ 40 Fit in the Mitt says
Just wanted to say a big Hello to you! Have a great massage.
Courtney says
Helloooooo Dena!! :-)
Tara Burner says
I only got in 3 yoga sessions this week, was busy on bike, running and dealing with other ‘stuff’
Sam @ Fit for My Fork says
I went to an awesome yoga class on Monday. It was hardcore – I always love going to a class with this teacher because while it’s a great stretch and relaxing at the end, she works you really hard in class! All of us were groaning with effort! lol. Enjoy your massage – I have no experience with reflexology, so looking forward to hearing more about that!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
I only got 1 yoga session in this week and i’m okay with that. I definitely need to get more in next week, but I was just able to start working out again this past week from my injury so 1 time is still fine by me! :)
TheBloggersBrother says
Thats my “I’m sweating and I’m really hot” face
Lea says
I love this challenge, it has definitely rekindled my yoga obsession!
I want to try a reflexology massage sometime, I’ve heard great things about them.
