-I finally got my apple fritter this past weekend. And it was everything I’d hoped for.
We stopped by Bella Napoli bakery on Saturday evening to get some cookies for my dad, and I was keeping my fingers crossed that they’d still have some. When I asked (since I didn’t see any in the display cases), the girl told me that they sold out earlier. I was totally bummed! But, knowing how good they are, I wasn’t surprised. Then, as she was coming back with my cookies, she said, “Oh, it looks like we have one left. Do you want it?”
Ummm, YECK YES I wanted it.
Craving fulfilled. Now I’m good.
-We had our breakfast club at work last Friday, and to celebrate the last day of one of my co-workers, there was a “bacon cake.”
That was 7 pounds of some of the best-cooked bacon I’ve had in a LONG time. Everyone was basically beside themselves with how awesome it was.
-I went back to Target and bought the shower curtain! Along with some matching hand towels.
I just couldn’t help myself…AND, it was the last one left. I feel like it was meant to be mine, right?
-I am currently obsessed with the Toasted Coconut Vanilla Oikos Greek yogurt. It pairs good with just about anything, but topping it with blueberries and Love Grown Foods frosted Mighty Flakes has definitely been a favorite lately.
By the way, have you guys tried the new Mighty Flakes or Power O’s from Love Grown yet? Lucas LOVES the chocolate and strawberry Power O’s, and I’m loving the Mighty Flakes for a snack. So good!!
-Weekend breakfasts are just 392,581x better than rushed weekday breakfasts.
–Cookie Brownie Bars are incredibly dangerous, especially when you eat them while chatting with your friends/roommates. Before you know it, you’ll realize that you ate 1/3 of the pan…
And I’m saying that from experience. Ooooof.
–Burger 21 is definitely worth a try if you can appreciate a good, juicy, mouthwatering burger.
Personally, I’d say you could skip the fries (they’re extra and were just okay), but the BBQ Bacon Burger was outstanding. Next time, I’m going back for one of their shakes.
And as a slightly different FYI, I just want to give you all a heads up…I have two more sponsored posts coming between now and the end of June. I know I mentioned it last week, but I feel like it’s worth mentioning again because I know they’re not for everyone. I still stand by the opportunities that I choose to accept and promise to continue to do so always. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Now it’s your turn! Just in case you wanted to know, ____________.
I love apple fritters, too! I haven’t had one in a very long time…too long! I need to get a jelly doughnut, too…for some reason I’ve been craving one forever, although I never really liked them before.
That is one mighty cookie!!! The pile of bacon…BEST THING EVER!!!
How creative is that bacon cake?! Sounds like your work place is pretty awesome. I need to suggest a Friday Breakfast meeting at my work…so Fun!

Have fun on the stroller run today, Brynn! What’s the new recipe you’re trying??
Here’s hoping it is fun, haha! I am making a Hawaiian pork loin!
Omggggg that sounds delicious!!
I ate a million desserts yesterday – a slice of cookie cake, a slice of pineapple upside down cake, a piece of monkey bread, and ice cream lol
OMG that sounds exactly like something I’d do. I LOVE IT
Your striped shirt is super cute! Target?
Your apple fritter bite picture is hilarious! I always throw mine in the microwave for a few seconds, it softens them and the icing up, so good!
I need a bacon cake, only in ‘Merica.
Thanks, Pam! Nope, it’s actually from Stitch Fix (you can see details from this post: https://www.sweettoothsweetlife.com/2015/01/08/stitch-fix-december-review/) :)
Where did you get your shirt? I love it!

Thank goodness you finally got your apple fritter!!!
That bacon cake is the most brilliant thing I have ever seen and I will officially be doing that for a few choice friend’s birthdays now.
Haha, isn’t it super fun?! I thought it was such a great idea!
Just in case you wanted to know…I was totally eating an apple fritter last Friday, while I was reading your blog on how sad you were that you didn’t have one. I thought about mentioning it, but I didn’t want to gloat. ;-)
Hahaha!! That is too funny :)
Just in case you wanted to know… I NEED an apple fritter very soon! And I am so glad you were able to get that shower curtain. Love it!
Lol…I had bacon myself for breakfast! And…it was delicious. :-)
Love Bella Napoli – went there both times I visited my sister in Albany and it is freaking amazing! They need to open one in South Florida! ;)
That cookie brownie bar looks unbelievably good!! I think I’m going to have to bake those this weekend! I’m glad you finally got your apple fritter ;) I hate having a craving for so long that you can’t get rid of until you satisfy it!
That apple fritter is everything!!! What a good surprise : ) And just in case you wanted to know, TJs cauliflower rice totally lives up to the hype : )
Woah, I’m gonna have to check this out! Thanks for the tip, Jamie!
you had a delicious weekend! a BACON CAKE? That’s the coolest thing ever- totally doing that for the next birthday brunch!
Good gracious, your post just made me so freakin’ hungry.
I’m with you on the mighty flakes! I really like the cranberry ones dry and the frosted and chocolate (I’m actually 7 years old) in milk.
And just in case you wanted to know, I’m obsessed with any type of cookie bar/cake and I will probably go fight someone for something of the sort sometime soon. Just because of that picture.
Time for you to plan a trip to VA. ;)
I think you’re right, girlfraaaaaan. :)
I comment on this post with my new puppy sitting in my lap. I know you wanted to know that! :)
Awwwww, how FUN!
Apple Fritter from Bella Napoli ? I had one last week also – without having seen your need – I went out of my way to get to work that day – oh, so good (mr food anyone?)
Hahaha, I love it!! And YES to the Mr Food reference ;)
Just in case you wanted to know I made raspberry chocolate chip banana bread today. :)
I never had an apple fritter. I’m not a fan of donuts… Like, at all… so I doubt I would like them. Who knows, though!
Woahhhhh, now THAT sounds amazing!
For some reason I always feel hungry after reading your posts… :) The apartment my husband and I just moved out of had a Burger 21 attached to one of the buildings. It took less than 5 minutes to walk there, but somehow we managed to avoid going too many times. Their burgers are AMAZING! I accidentally got some of their sweet potato fries instead of regular fries and even though I’m not really a fan of sweet potato fries, those were pretty tasty.
Oh man, that would be trouble!! Now I’m wishing I had gotten the sweet potato fries, haha ;)
What a gorgeous blog by an even more gorgeous writer! I’m so happy to have found your blog :) I recently joined the blogging community myself and I’m enthralled by all the positivity out there :D Reading this made me REALLY happy… looking forward to following you in the future! Subscribed! ;)
Thanks so much, Katrina! So happy to have you reading along! :)
We love Burger 21! I like the sweet potato fries better and their black & blue sliders are relish!
Ummmm heck yes I’ve been wanting to know if you finally got your apple fritter! I’m a little late to the party but glad to see that you fulfilled your craving and it was all you hoped it would be. So satisfying! Now…what next to crave?! ;)
