There are some days where I get so excited just to come home and cuddle up with my little buddy Cody. It’s hard to believe, looking back at old pictures, that he actually used to BE LITTLE…
Poor little guy had a rough start at life! If you’re new to the blog, then you may want to check out Cody’s Story. ( <– That was actually one of my first posts ever on STSL!)
I mean, don’t get me wrong – I love my buddy every day, but today was one of those days where I pulled into the driveway and immediately found him waiting ever-so-patiently for me in the window. He may not be little anymore, but he sure is a cutie!
Especially when he plays all night long with his favorite water jug top toy…
…and ends up passing right out from exhaustion.
Tough life, huh?

Now it’s time to share some yummy eats for today!
Breakfast
2 lightly toasted Van’s Lite Waffles, topped with a PB + pumpkin combo, some raisins, and a drizzle of light maple syrup.
In case you hadn’t noticed, I really love Van’s waffles.
Lunch
An oldie, but a goodie!
A vanilla Chobani fruit parfait, mixed with some strawberries and blueberries.
And since I’m out of granola (GASP!) I created a little mixture of my own, using Multigrain Cheerios, broken up TJ’s cat cookies, and 1 tbsp wheat germ.
It wasn’t the same as granola, but it definitely added that “crunch” that I crave with my yogurt combos.
Some veggies on the side (notice the wonderful, bright shade of orange missing from that bag…)
I ended up saving my Clif Z Bar until right before my afternoon date at the GYM.
Speaking of which…
Workout
Today’s workout was a glorious 2.25 miles worth of intervals on the elliptical, followed by a BodyPump class. I’ll admit – I’m kinda getting bored with Release 76 and wish my gym would get their butt movin’ with Release 77!
Dinner
Homemade pizzaaaaaaaaa!
I really had no rhyme or reason as to the toppings I chose for tonight’s pizza. I basically looked through the fridge and took out anything that sounded good, regardless of whether or not it sounded like it would go well with the others.
My Trader Joe’s whole wheat crust was topped with some garlic, oregano, sliced tomatoes, roasted red peppers, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, reduced-fat mozzarella & cheddar cheeses, and a couple small globs of low-fat ricotta.
I enjoyed two slices out of our eight-cut pizza, along with a simple side salad.
Which I must tell you, was topped with my current dressing obsession: Ken’s Lite Northern Italian with Basil & Romano. It is out of this worrrrrld!
A deeeLISH dinner, indeed!
Now I have to hurry up and finish, since I had a bet with the hubby that I would finish by 8:00. It’s 7:57, baby! I WINNN!!!
Question for the Evening:
Do you consider yourself a competitive person??
