Stuffed On Panini’s & Summer Lemonade

By Courtney 11 Comments

I am feeling so incredibly “bloggy” right now, as I type up this post while sitting in a cozy little corner of MochaLisa’s Caffe. ;)

Earlier this evening, I met up with my friend Heather here for an early dinner date. I suggested MochaLisa’s for their delicious paninis and cozy atmosphere. You may remember my last visit with the “girls” or my previous two times stops in for mid-day coffee. All of my experiences have been great here, so I figured it would be a safe bet. :)

I started off by ordering an iced lemonade, which for some reason I never do. I guess I’ve always been too concerned over the extra calories and didn’t think it was worth it? But ohhhh man, am I glad I went for it today! I ordered the Mango Raspberry Lemonade, which was quite honestly one of the best lemonades I have had. Ever. It was light, sweet, and super summery…I can’t believe I’ve been missing out all this time!

After looking over the menu, Heather and I decided to share two different paninis, since we were both having such a hard time deciding on just one.

Panini #1 was the Bruschetta Panini, which was bruschetta spread & fresh mozzarella cheese, combined with fresh basil, on ciabatta bread. The bruschetta spread was really good, and the gooey mozzarella was definitely a welcome component to the sandwich. :)

Panini #2 was the Chicken & Pesto Panini, which was grilled chicken breast, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, and spinach combined with a pesto spread on ciabatta bread. Heather and I both decided that this one was our favorite. Absolutely everything about it was just fantastic. Definitely a winner! :)

A bag of chips is also included when ordering a sandwich, so I picked the Sweet Maui Onion which are my favorite! I probably had about 2/3 of the bag, and am feeling absolutely stuffed after eating both my panini halves. Ughhh.

Heather and I had a great time chatting and catching up. It seemed like forever since we last got together at Jumpin’ Jacks Drive-In! I really miss getting to see this girl all the time.

Tonight the hubby has another softball game, so I’m headed over to watch that and hang with my favorite fans. :)

Question for the Night:

What drink just screams “summer” to you? Do you have a favorite summer time drink?? 8-)

Mmm look at all that melty cheese! Yum. In the summer I LOVE drinking diet root beer. It's not natural or healthy, but it sure is delicious!
