Last week, I received my February Stitch Fix, so you know I have to share it with you all!
In case you’re new to Stitch Fix and how it works, you can read all about it in my first post about the service, HERE.
I ended up skipping the month of January and had my last (awesome) fix back in December. I had asked for a couple of specific pieces this time around and, unfortunately, some of them weren’t available. I also wasn’t even totally sure what I really wanted to ask for this time around, so the rest of my requests were pretty vague or non-existent (oops). At any rate, my stylist Julie did a good job of putting together some pieces that would fit my style…let’s see how they all panned out!
Kut From the Kloth Luciano Bootcut Jean – $88
I had asked for a pair of darker wash, bootcut jeans, so in that regard, these certainly fit the bill. I wouldn’t have had an issue with the price (I don’t mind paying more money for a good pair of denim) but unfortunately, they were too short to be able to wear with heels and were a bit snug on the waist. Return
Fun 2 Fun Sheridan Striped V-Neck Tab Sleeve Blouse – $48
I liked the look of this shirt when I first took it out of the box, but as soon as I put it on, I realized it was a no. While I liked the pattern/colors (who doesn’t love black and white?!) it just didn’t really do much to flatter and just sort of hung there. Return
RD Style Arleen Colorblocked Open Cardigan – $74
I went back and forth on this sweater a bit. I initially loved the oversized look, as well as the colors, but I just wasn’t positive. I’m also already starting to think of clothing I can wear into spring, and this is much more geared towards the fall/winter. However, it was just so darn comfortable and cozy that I couldn’t let it go, and I envision getting curled up on the couch all snuggled in it. Sooo…Kept It!
Bancroft Kara Hammered Coin Long Necklace – $34
I definitely liked this necklace and thought it was cute, but when it came down to deciding whether or not I liked it enough to buy, I ended up talking myself out of it. I really don’t like to spend a lot of money on jewelry unless I’m crazy about it. Return.
Mystree Aldora Pullover Sweater – $58
You may have already realized that this sweater was definitely a keeper, since I wore it out on Saturday night. I loved the oversized fit, without making it look sloppy, and I’m always on the lookout for a nice white sweater. I think this one will transition nicely into spring, so there was no doubt it was staying with me. Kept It!
Overall, I only kept two out of the five pieces, but I feel like the other three were so close to being keepers if the fit was a bit different. Ahh well, whatcha gonna do!? As of right now, I still have another Stitch Fix scheduled for next month, and I’m thinking that will be a good opportunity to add a few new pieces for spring (maxi dresses, skirts, tanks!) so I’m excited to see what will make its way to me.
Have you tried out Stitch Fix yet? Love it? Not for you?
Have you made any fun clothing or accessory purchases lately?

I love how the oversized and pullover sweaters look on you! Good choices! My favourite is the pullover sweater too. I have yet to try Stitch Fix since I’m in Canada and they don’t ship out here. But I’m waiting for the day they go international :)

I don’t use Stitch Fix anymore but when I did, they sent me a pair of Kut From the Kloth shorts that fit PERFECTLY. Since then, I’ve bought several items straight from their online store.
The Stitch Fix service itself wasn’t for me but I’m really glad it introduced me to a brand I didn’t know I would love!

I was wondering when we’d get another fashion post :D Love the oversize cardi!
Sarah @ Sarah Sincerely says
I love both sweaters that you kept. The oversized, cozy sweaters have been my go-to’s this winter. I love the necklace too, but I think I’d have returned it too. For the price, it’s really nothing too special.
I’ve gotten a few fixes in the past. I need to schedule another one. I love seeing what is chosen for me. Price seems to be my biggest obstacle.
Linz @ Itz Linz says
i LOVE that white pullover sweater!!
Stacie @ SimplySouthernStacie says
I just got my Feb. Stitch Fix box yesterday and was kind of disappointed. The pants I got were incredible because Stitch Fix always delivers on pants for me, but the shirts were just so basic for the money and the dress was something I would find at Old Navy for $20. I’m skipping next month and hoping for better luck with April!
I love that oversized sweater on you!
Jessica @ kiwiyogirunner says
I’ve been living out of my suitcase for the last six months so I haven’t really been making many purchases, but I love that sweater! So cool that it is a little sheer :)
Brynn says
love cozy sweaters!! I don’t have a Stitch Fix subscription because I really love shopping! I would want to be a Stitch Fixer – haha :)
Stacey M. says
Bummer that the boot cut jeans were too short/tight … I know everyone is all about skinny jeans with boots these days, but I still love a good pair of boot cut jeans with a heel (so long as the jeans are long enough). Oh well, better luck next time! I do love that white pullover sweater. I feel ya on the oversized look – it’s just so much more comfortable and you don’t have to worry about any “lumps or bumps” when you sit down. ;)
I haven’t made any fun fashion purchases lately (ok, I did buy a $4.99 pair of earrings the other day, lol), but after hearing about those tops you picked up at Target, I’m thinking I mayyy need to venture over there after work on Friday and browse around a little. I’m not really in the market for anything in particular, but I never pass up an opportunity to browse around – you never know what you’ll find!
Amanda @ Slimplify Life says
I usually love my Fixes but sent back my entire box last time. I love the white pullover, that is so cute!
Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections says
I love both the sweaters you kept, especially the striped one. Too bad about the jeans, as they looked nice. Jeans are almost always too short for me too though. It’s frustrating.
I’ve wanted to try this, but being pregnant right now, I didn’t think that’d be a good idea. I think I’m going to try Fabletics post-pregnancy as a fun treat for getting back into shape (assuming that ever happens! lol).
Christen says
I don’t get Stitch Fix much anymore so I love seeing what everyone else is getting!
Liv @ Healthy Liv says
I agree with your keeps! I love the striped cardigan- how cozy for winter!
Monica says
I get my next StitchFix next week (scheduled to deliver on my birthday)! I’m so excited!!!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
I love the sweaters you kept – totally agree that the white will transition nicely. It’s still quite wintery here, but I cannot wait to start shopping for some spring clothes to freshen up my wardrobe!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
I like your choices! That oversize cardigan will be SO comfy with leggings! And even though like you said, it’s geared more toward fall/winter, I’m sure you’ll be able to wear it for years to come. The white sweater you chose is really pretty too, and I agree, it’ll make for a great transitional piece to spring. You could even tuck part of it into a pair of crops or shorts when it gets a little warmer.
If I worked in an office setting or somewhere that I needed nicer clothes, I’d consider Stitch Fix, but I just can’t justify the cost at this point in my life. I do love the idea of it all though. I’m all about Target, Old Navy, and H&M these days. :)
Marielle says
Cute clothes! I haven’t tried stick fitch yet, sounds tempting. Like Ashley said above, I don’t think I can justify it now as I’m not working in an office setting….they need to create a stick fitch for workout gear or something, that would be fun!
Cassie @ Findley Fit says
I have been wanting to get a Stitch Fix since everyone started blogging about it a while ago. It seems like such a cool service! I love that oversized sweater, I don’t think I would have given that up either ;)
Jessica says
I have not tried Stitch fix mainly because it is so expensive. I have seen lots of things that people have gotten and kept from stitch fix, but I just can’t see spending that much money. I am a sales rack girl.
Donna says
I just got my 2nd Stitchfix yesterday. I kept 3 items from the first one. I got my first pair of jeans from them yesterday. They are $128.00 but I like them so I am keeping them. They are the boyfriend fit distressed jeans and I had been wanting a pair. I liked all the items they sent this time. I decided to keep them all just so I could take advantage of the 25% discount. It didn’t make sense to return 1 item and then pay more so I’m going to give them all a try.
Heather @ Life In Leggings says
Love that sweater! I’m glad you kept it :) Also, I always forget about boot cut jeans. I have two pairs (both from Stitch Fix!) and haven’t worn them in forever. When it warms up, I need to ditch the snow boots and skinny jeans and give them a go. So cute!
Jacque says
I’m surprised you returned the striped blouse, I think it looks so cute on you!!!
Hayley@HealthyRegardsHayley says
Love the big cozy sweater! I tried stitch fix once and would try again but did not like anything I ended up getting that first time ):
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz says
I love the white sweater and the oversized cardigan! Very cute! I don’t use stitch fix and I just can’t see myself using it. The clothes are very cute, but I don’t think it would prevent me from doing my own shopping also and thus I would end up spending twice the money and have twice the clothes!
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West says
I agree with you on jewelry, I only like to spend a lot if it’s the perfect piece. Cute choice on the sweaters! :)
Hannah @ CleanEatingVeggieGirl says
Great choices! Those are the 2 pieces that I would have kept, too! :)
Char says
I really love that last sweater! I’ve received two Stitch Fixes so far and I’ve only kept one thing from each of them. I want to work on my Pinterest board a bit more to figure out what it really is that I’d like to see next time I do a delivery!!
Shawna says
i’m so with you on the idea of a big, cozy sweater to snuggle up on the couch. i bought two new pieces i loooove lately: a big blankety sweater poncho thing from Urban Outfitters that i never ever want to take off, and a pair of yoga pants from OmShanti that i’m in loooooove withhhhh and make me want to be at the beach. if you don’t know that site, def check them out — their power pants are amazing. i got the Hearts in the Sand and my best friend got another pair, and we just loooove them. http://www.omshanticlothing.com/Om-Shanti-Power-Pants_c_69.html

Those are some crazy bright (and awesome) pants!! :)

We have something similar here in Germany now. I might try it after my pregnancy, it sounds kind of fun :)
