I’m a little ahead of the game this week, aren’t I? Well, I figured since I have another fun post headed your way tomorrow, I still wanted to stick with my fun facts for the week because they’re one of my favorite kind of posts to write. I can have tangents one after another and it doesn’t matter because it’s all just a numbered list and they don’t have to mesh.
Some days, that’s all my brain can handle. ;)
1. I think this little man has definitely got some teeth coming in (or attempting to come in) lately.
His eating has been suuuuper picky (although he’s loving the Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers frozen!), he’s been sleeping a bunch more, and his poor little hiney had one of the worst rashes I’ve seen in a long time this week. Poor thing…looks like he got his mama’s sensitive skin.
2. I’m totally kicking myself for having packed up my Clarisonic Mia (on sale at Nordstrom right now!). I knew I loved it, but I guess I never realized how much I’d miss it. #packingfail
3. You know, I am really enjoying the switch up of workouts lately! You guys know I love my Beachbody workout programs (I can’t believe I’ve been doing them for over a year now), but it’s also great to switch things up every now and then. Yesterday morning I completed this circuit workout from POPSUGAR and it was awesome! Looks like I’ll be consulting my workout boards on Pinterest a bit more now.
4. FYI on the Beachbody workouts…for anyone interested, they’re actually having a HUGE summer sale right now. If you want to check out what’s available in the shop, you can check it out here. I just scored myself a Les Mills PUMP program yesterday for a steal!
5. My friend Candice at work surprised me yesterday with a small cup of salted caramel gelato. She was basically my favorite person ever yesterday afternoon.
6. I’m kinda sorta in love with this dolman cardigan. I like how it looks like it could be worn in just about every season, too.
7. I’ve been having such a hard time trying to stop myself from making purchases for our new home! I know that the smart thing to do is to just wait until we’re actually in there, so we can get a feel for where things will go, what will fit, etc. And most of the time, I’m really good on holding back. But yesterday, I came across a couple of pieces for my office that I just couldn’t pass up! I purchased this desk from Sears along with this matching bookshelf and I am just SO excited about them.
I’m already starting to envision what the room is going to look like…I love the light, airy look of something like this.
Gahhhh, I can’t wait!
8. Speaking of the house…by the end of this week, they should be ready to start insulating and putting up the drywall. Wheeeee!
9. For my fellow bloggers and social media mavens out there…are you enrolled in TapInfluence (<- referral link*) yet? It’s an awesome platform that can give you the opportunity to work with a bunch of different brands and get compensated for it! If you’re interested, be sure to check it out…all you do is register (for free), set up your digital Media Kit, and you’re good to go!
*Just a heads up – the link provided is a referral link and I am participating in a Referral Program through TapInfluence
10. A friend of mine on Facebook posted this the other day and I just loved it. A lot. Like, a real lot.
11. Tomorrow is my parents’ 33rd wedding anniversary, and I’ll tell you guys something. Not only do I admire them both because they’re my parents, but I truly admire the relationship that they have created.
They, too, are high school sweethearts just like me and my guy, so I always found it amusing how I ended up following in those footsteps. But honestly, if I were to think about how I’d like my marriage to be 28 years from now, I would be 100% thrilled if it looked like theirs. They’re a team. They’re awesome. They’re super fun. And they know how to party. Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!
12. I’m so looking forward to this weekend. No particular reason, really. Just ready for a couple of days off. Plus, Sunday is looking be-u-tee-ful so I intend to be outside as much as possible!
13. I’ve got two lucky Blue Apron winners! I know I originally said I’d post these Friday, but I forgot I have another post coming your way tomorrow, so I’ve got them for ya today…
Congrats to Christina and Nicole!
Cristina says: I’ve been wanting to try Blue Apron for such a long time! My husband is a bit weary of it so it’d be great to get it so I can show him what a great idea it would be for us, especially saves time with our little one. I just saw they have a recipe for Arepas de Carne Molida which I would love to try! (I’m from Venezuela but I’m pretty sure these are the Columbian kind, and I think they would bring me a little piece of home
Nicole M Watson says: I love blue apron and while I haven’t tried their subscription I have tried many of their recipes and they are fantastic. I would like to try the paneer and vegetable kati rolls.
Be sure to email me at sweettoothcourtney at gmail dot com so I can get you set up with your free week of meals, ladies!
Alright guys, I’m outta here for today…have a fabulous day! One more until Fridayyyyy. <3
Ive moved SOO MUCH LATELY and yet this last one?
Back to austin?
one big packing fail.
I GET YOU :-)
poor Lucas, those darn teeth! I’ve been loving changing up my workouts, too. Variety has helped me stick with my workouts. Lately I’ve been all about spin!
i am in a workout myself… i dusted off T25 this week! feels good to do something different.. and short :) haha.
happy anniversary to your parents! i love the light and airy look of rooms and houses, too! you’ll have so much fun decorating since you have such a good eye!
I love finding new workouts and remembering how much I enjoy switching things up! I just started going to spinning at the gym and I’m enjoying it so far!
Happy Anniversary to your parents! I am so attached to my Clairsonic – I even take it on trips so I totally symathize!
okay so i love the tribute to your parents (happy anniversary to them!) and can totally relate to being so blessed by their relationship — my parents also have an amazing relationship, after 36 years of marriage, and it’s one of the best things in my life. so many people don’t have that model or foundation, and i know i will neverrrr take that for granted! we’re so blessed to have that. also, that “7 rules” thing is spot on, and your house looks like it’s going to be amazzzeeee.
I love the office furniture and the picture you’re using for inspiration. Light and airy is so tranquil and a great environment to work in. The house looks amazing as well! Super exciting!
It’s so exciting with the progress of your house! It must be such an exciting time! Also, I’ve never heard of TapInfluence before, but I’ll be sure to check it out!
Hi Courtney! Packing fails.. I know the feeling! I’m still unpacking a year later. Question about beach body- have you ever done Pi-Yo? I’m curious about that one and considering snatching it up during the sale. Do you know how long the workouts are?
Lastly I’m trying to find a full ingredients list for shakeology… Trying to avoid added sugar and also I don’t like the taste of Splenda much. The ingredients list I found online seemed to be a list of the super foods plus Splenda and Cocoa (for the vegan chocolate flavor). But I couldn’t tell if those were all the ingredients…? Is there another page with the full ingredients list?
Thank you!!
Hey Zoe! Yes, I LOVE PiYo! Actually just did one of the workouts this morning ;) I’ll shoot you an email!
I love the Pump program! It is just like the classes at the gym! The music is actually very good too. Let me know how you like it!
Happy Thursday, Courtney! You know, I’ve been teaching Les Mills programs in gyms for years, yet have never tried the at-home Les Mills PUMP. I believe it has been discontinued, so maybe that’s why it is on sale. Enjoy it! :) Oh and I need to build out my office in our second bedroom since we moved into a bigger place and haven’t done that yet. But I definitely have my eye on a white desk too!
Your parents are so adorable! Love it!! And I don’t blame you about the home decor shopping… I do that CONSTANTLY… for the home I don’t even own yet. Pinterest is a dangerous place. Haha.
I can’t believe i missed PUMP on sale again! Is it one of the programs offered on demand?
Oh, that’s a good question! I don’t know if it’ll be offered right away, but I’ll double check!
Thanks! I thought I heard that at one point but i can’t find out much about on demand without signing up….
That workout does look good, I have been switching it up too using Pinterest! Some great workouts on there x
Thanks for the Anniversary wishes Coco!!! I’m sure you and Jay will have a fantastic relationship in the years to come. The best advice I can give is to put yourself in your husbands shoes (or anyone else for that matter) before you say or do anything. How would you feel if it was said or done to you….. Love you sweetie!!
So I just found the best new workout. Its free in the app store. It is called SWORKIT. I just tried it this afternoon and it is challenging and fun. First you chose the type of workout and then you select the amount of time you have. Check it out!
Have you found a good cleanser to use with your Clarisonic Mia?
Love this list! The link to the Les Mills Pump sale is perfect -though they’re sold out. I’m so checking back, as I’m looking for a good at home post baby workout -when I can’t get to my normal Pump classes at the gym!
Hmm that gelato looks amazing! The weather here is supposed to be amazing too so hoping to spend as much of it outdoors as possible!
Have a great weekend!
Poor Lucas. I think my little guy is going through something similar with his 2 year molars. A lot of drooling, picky eating, and sleeping…. hopefully it passes soon (for everyone involved!).
Speaking of switching up workouts…. have you checked out Fitness Blender. They have a website, but I mostly use their workouts online. There are hundreds of them for different body parts and different intensities. They’re a husband and wife team and the workouts are free! Definitely check them out for some variety!
