September Stitch Fix Delivery

By Courtney 7 Comments

Even though I’ve still been getting them occasionally here and there, it’s been quite some time (January 2017, whaaat?!) since I posted about a new Stitch Fix delivery. But I just received a new one last week, so I figured it’d be fun to share!

I honestly didn’t have too many specific pieces in mind when I scheduled this fix, but since I’d already signed up for their Style Pass earlier this year (which waives the $20 styling fee with each fix!), there’s really nothing to lose with getting each fix.

Soooo, here’s a look at what came, but first, I’ll apologize upfront for the disgusting smudges you’re about to see all over my mirror. It’s nearly impossible to keep little fingerprints off of it these days, so I’ve just given up… #momlife.

COSMIC BLUE LOVE – Hayley Button Down Top

Wearing in size Small – $68.00

This top was pretty cute once I put it on, and I really liked the length, but I actually used to own a top that was almost exactly the same thing, and I just recently added it to the donation bag of clothes! The material used to get SO crinkly/funky after washing that it was just a pain to have to iron for it to look presentable (without a ton of effort).

Knowing that, combined with the price, this one was a no. Still cute, though!

EVOLUTION BY CYRUS – Keeyla Scoop Neck Pullover

Wearing in size Small – $54.00

I wasn’t too sure about this one as soon as I took it out of the box, simply because the material reminded me too much of thermal underwear (!). I mean, not that there’s anything wrong with thermal undies…just not my cuppa tea for a sweater.

Combined with the fact that the fit really wasn’t all that flattering, that also made this one a pretty easy no.

TOMS – Kala Suede Wedge Bootie

Wearing in size 8 – $90.00

Horrible, horrible pics on these, sorry guys. I actually REALLY liked these booties. In fact, they were pretty much exactly what I had asked for!

But ultimately, I decided to pass on them, only because I found another pair for slightly cheaper that I’m debating on. PLUS, they also currently have them at DSW and you can use the coupon code OHHEYFALL for a discount!

EVOLUTION BY CYRUS – Ladera Open Cardigan

Wearing in size Small – $68.00

Gahhhh, this mirror. MY EYES!

The fit of this sweater was great; not TOO long, but sleeves that were perfectly long enough. And I also really liked the oversized pockets.

But while the color of the sweater was pretty (purple IS my favorite color, after all), I’m really just finding myself leaning towards more neutral colors these days. Not sure why, but I just didn’t love the purple color enough to keep it.

Sooo, back it went!

THREADS 4 THOUGHT – Monica Legging

Wearing in size Medium – $34.00

You guys…THESE LEGGINGS!!!! I found them on their website HERE, but it looks like they’re double the price that they were from Stitch Fix (which is rare!). So if you wind up scheduling a fix, be sure to request these by name!!

They fit like an absolute dream; the material is super soft, they have just enough stretch, while still staying put (my current fav leggings are getting so stretched out and I’m constantly hiking them up!).

They also have a somewhat high(ish?) rise, but not ridiculously high; I’m not a fan of anything with a rise practically up to my chest…

Extra bonus? They’re made from 88% recycled materials! So these were a no-brainer…definitely a keeper.

Okay, I’m legit a little embarrassed to be posting these gross mirror pics after seeing them all again on here…forgive me! But I’m curious, how many of you out there are still giving Stitch Fix a shot these days? Any good finds lately??

My husband and I still do fixes about once a quarter. I usually love the pants they send me (except this last time) but the tops are hit or miss. I find that I get sent a lot of the same styles and even colors fix after fix. Same with my husband. Although he may get a bit more variety, which is weird. I don't like shopping for myself so this is a nice option but not sure how much longer I'll do it.

I love getting stitch fix now and then because it makes me try styles I never would have picked out. However I just can’t budget the amount their clothes cost so it’s a once in a while thing for me. I don’t want to fall in love with something i really love and not buy it. I got my last fix in March and they absolutely nailed summertime clothes for me. I kept the whole box which was a first for me but with the discount and how much I wore everything this summer it was worth it. I often schedule a stitch fix if I have an event coming up and I want something new.

I have paused my Stitch Fix deliveries for now. I wasn't loving what I was receiving and I never had any specific requests or enough feedback to help improve them, so I took that as a sign to take a break. I'm loving Trunk Club though (same concept, owned by Nordstrom).

My statch fix had ripped jeans with mustard stains, a ripped FUBU hoodie, a cord as the belt and 4 pieces of old bologna. I think it’s a win or somebody just put a box in front of our door!

I am getting them every month and probably buy 1 thing from each fix. They did pretty well for me for Summer. Since I did the style pass, I don't feel bad getting them often and sending it all back if don't want anything. My husband got one last week and it was horrible!!! He cancelled. Lol

Stitch Fix is honestly getting better and better with time. The style pass saved me as a subscriber, and after a year, they've really got a lock on my size and style, which saves hours of travel time from mall to mall to outlet. Still some wrinkles that the company needs to work on. You're unable to speak with your stylist ever nor do you know who it is. Whether there are actual stylists at all, the world may never know. Whoever sends me pants though makes sure they fit just right!

I just recieved my third in a row fantastic fix and have had many others where I kept all five pieces of clothing. I get the 25% discount for keeping the entire fix which mades my cost nicely reasonable. My stylist has nailed my sizes and my likes and dislikes repeatedly. Thank you stitch fix!
