Kicking off the weekend with dinner and drinks out with the best neighbors EVER? Sounds like a good plan to me!
I was lucky enough to enjoy a nice little night out with these six lovely ladies on Friday once all of the kiddos were put to bed, we kept things simple by just heading down the road to one of our favorite spots. Plenty of wine and good food to go around for all!
Saturday morning, we were up and at ’em nice and early for Lucas’s 8:30am soccer game, and talk about a perfect fall day. Just beautiful out!
The rest of Saturday involved some work around the house and in the office (see some details below!), and then concluded with an impromptu gathering across the street with the neighbors.
We ordered a couple of pizzas, and between that, some good beer, and s’mores by the fire, it was pretty awesome.
This crew of kiddos, they are just the coolest!
Oh, and the s’mores? I don’t think I’ve ever seen bigger marshmallows in all of my life…these things were huge!
But the best part?
Ohhhhh yes. Forget the Hershey bar, gimme a peanut butter cup any day on my s’mores! So. Good.
Sunday didn’t get started until after 8am, thanks to our boys BOTH being rockstars and sleeping in (typically if one does, the other is up extra early, of course!). We spent most of day working on some things here and there and taking care of errands, and then Lucas had a birthday party at the trampoline park for one of his buddies later in the afternoon.
I came home to dinner ready to eat, which was quite a pleasant surprise, and then we got working on a couple more details in the office. I’m planning on dedicating another post to all of the details and full pictures once it’s entirely finished, but I’m too excited to not share a few little details now.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably already saw our new storage cabinet, which I am in LOVE with.
(It’s the Better Homes and Gardens Rustic Farmhouse Storage Bookcase from Walmart)
And then here’s a look at what we have so far on the other side of the room…
I’m really so excited with how it’s coming together! I still have a few more things I want to put up on the walls and in the other corner of the room, so once that’s all finished, then I’ll share all of the details with you guys.
As for now? It’s Sunday night and it’s about time for me to go start putting together lunches and getting ready for another new week (AND new month!). Happy October, friends!
